I seem to have adopted a more casual atitude. I stare without moving or talking until the salesperson finally helps me.
The whole proccess of acceptance, at least in the situation, takes about 30 seconds before they want to show me some other shoes or clothes I may like. It really isn't as bad as you think its going to be. Maybe It's because I can't help but smile at them while the whole idea fills in the blanks so to speak
I am shopping for very neutral style clothes, so it isn't as if I am asking about an evening gown.
I've only run into one salesperson who couldn't get her head on sraight, and it was just a matter of going to the other one.
