i like to be more freshfaced. lots of makeup just isn't good to wear all the time, plus i don't like how it looks on me. it can sink into your skin and age you. guys don't seem to like a ton. they might like how a woman looks extra beautiful when she has a little on, but alot is more of a fashion statement that only other women seem to admire.

I stick to the natural look.  I AM wearing makeup in my profile pic, but it's so light in sunlight that it's barely noticeable.  I don't like clown face for myself or on other women.  Overdone is a turn off.  I stick to the rule that you want to either accentuate your eyes or your lips - not both.  So, if I'm not wearing dark red lipstain, then I'll wear dark eyeliner - or vice versa.  Never both.  I think the goal with makeup is to enhance what you have, not hide it.

As for men appreciating it, I find it unlikely that many would - unless they wear makeup themselves. :)  I've dated several tomboys (genetic and trans), and they didn't appreciate my makeup either because they don't know the time, effort, and experience that goes into it!
QFTT!

I love the artist side of make up. I like the idea of playing with colors to create different looks or moods. Having said that, I tend to focus on one feature, and go minimalistic everywhere else. Most of the time, I just play up the eyes with neutrals, and maybe a little color blocking to make them pop.

What about BareMinerals? It is said that it is safe to wear everyday and the products are even good for your skin.

My wife rarely uses makeup, and when she does it is usually just basic foundation.  Most of the time I only use basic foundation as well, but I do think that foundation is important for transwomen until ALL of our hair is removed.  Just a touch of foundation wipes out what little shadow I have (3 laser sessions so far) and it covers any nicks I made while shaving the clear/white hairs.

I have never seen her with very heavy makeup she did on her own, it has always been someone else doing it.  And usually she would have looked more beautiful without the heavy.
Blessed Be!
