I like avatars as avatars.  I post a pix every now and again, and there are a bunch on FB.

I wouldn't talk to someone who had a burka on in RL so why should I respond here?

It's not that I would be rude or have some shunning policy against a burka wearer, I just physically wouldn't be capable of continuing a conversation.

Especially if you are opinionated or argumentative. It's not illegal to be transgender.

some provocations don't consider the fact that not everyone here is ok with their look. Maybe that some has yet done all the ffs, hormones at a very young age resulting in a solid beauty, that for us, is a fight to win yet, and maybe will never be won!

You've been fairly confrontational recently, perhaps you should consider that everyone is different.

I've actually had pictures up here before.  And I have tons on my Facebook account, but as Tekla said I like the avatar as an avatar.  That picture is a symbolic representation of me and I don't have to worry about whether it passes or not and am not subject to critiques from people I don't know.

Even after my FFS I will likely keep my avatar the same, but there will definitely be a thread full of pictures of my throughout my recovery.

Just also realized that not only do I have pictures on here in a couple of threads, I actually have a link to our family farm website on my profile.  See that little globe there under my avatar, you can find all kinds of pictures there..  Sure they aren't glamour shots.  They are just shots of our day to day life, but that is so much more real than a staged perfectly posed and perfectly makeup for a picture.

Mahsa wants to see my oicture to insult me, she is burning with the desire for revenge. She posted a picture of herself and a man. I said it looked like a 50 something and a 40 something couple. She took great insult on it, and well, things have gone ... I placed a public apology to which she did not respond, and yes, we continue to exchange kisses.

Honestly, it's because I'm still pre-transition and this is one of the few places I don't have to show my ugly boy face to the world and I like it that way.

I personally do care if I pass but I don't count it as a priority. I have transitioned where I live, I have children, I have had freinds, relatives, childrens freinds and teachers and........ I could pass 110% but to these people that knew me or knew who I was, I can be trans at the best and I'm sure they'll still see him!!

Or some will even think I'm a DQ or CD!!! nothing I can do about it but it doesn't help that some people on a forum such as this think of me as this also.

I have to appreciate the times I can be accepted as just another plain Jane woman.

I applaud those confident enough to post their photograph, but I do not disapprove of those who do not.
