Kia Ora Members and lurkers,

::) In roughly 3 hours time it will be 2012[well for us Kiwis it will be] so...HAPPY NEW YEAR ! From one of the first countries in the world to experience it...

I'm off to bed, I need my beauty sleep so I won't be welcoming it in...Mind you it will still be there tomorrow when I wake up....

I play Kingdom of Loathing (though I take months long breaks), and all the New Zealanders there seem to be trashed at the moment. I was confused until I realized how provincial I am, and how many time zones there are. XD

It freaks people out. I find it quite funny.
Each country thinks their time is the real time  We are always a day ahead of you, the early worm and all that stuff

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

To all you Kiwis and Aussies and Happy Birthday Cindy!

Instead of the giant lighted ball drop like they do in New York City there is a town in Wisconsin where they celebrate that magical moment by lowering a giant lighted piece of cheese. ;D No wonder they call us cheeseheads.

Kia Ora,[to those still living in the past]

::) Your future's looking bright !

::) For those of you who are into making 'New Year Resolutions', one important thing to remember: You have to stick with it for at least 21 days for it to become part of the norm !

::) It takes 21 days to make or break a habit ![So I've been told]

HAPPY UPCOMING NEW YEAR ! to all my North American cousins...

Each country thinks their time is the real time

Well, technically, due to the standardisation of lines of longitude and their relationship with time, the Prime Meridian in Greenwich is the proper time and everyone else is just forward or behind.

However, it being 3 o'clock in London, and we had the fun of Big Ben's Bongs and I saw the sky change colours down by the eye there - I can officially declare 2012 open.

I hope we all enjoy it.

It was more to say that where 'everyone thinks their time is right' - ours is :)

I always thought that every country had daylight when the UK was in the middle of the night, was that even god didn't trust the poms in the dark

Sorry; Pica Pica have a great year.

Love
