Um, hi. ^^  I'm Finn and it's very nice to meet all of you.
I have no idea why but am currently being more shy than is usual so I'm extremely nervous at the moment.
I guess it would be rude of me not to say a bit about myself:

I'm still in school and live in Arkansas.  For the most part my family is pretty kind to me but if my dad, who everyone besides my mom hates, every found out that I a) was on this forum, b) was FtM, or c) had the interests that I currently do I wouldn't be surprised at all if he would kill me.  I always will have my big sister to look out for me though and my big brothers.
I really want to be a translator.  The greatest joy to me is language.  Even just hearing a few words in another language makes me feel so calm and happy.

That's all I can think of right now.  I should probably be heading to bed anyway.  I wish everyone good health and pleasant dreams.

Finn I feel the same way about language.

Welcome to Susan's. Stick around, don't be shy, and please watch out for your dad. We're here if you have anything to say or any questions.

Hey there Finn.  I broke out into a hot sweat after my first post.  Very normal to be somewhat nervous dude.   I like finding out about the origin of words.

Ahhh!  G'day mate,
Seeings you like language, I thought I'd give you an authentic Aussie welcome to Susan's; Finn.

You beauty, bottler Bob. Simplified means; OK. and "struth" is an exclamation of wonderment, which has a substantially wide descriptive variation. It can express my disappointment in being 3 cents short of buying a 'middy' of beer (approx 15 ozs?? - Help me here girls, I don't drink the stuff) to winning 15 million in Lotto.
Having a brief introduction into, "How to speak 'Strine' 101" (Strine = Australian) I doubt whether it would be a wise selection of languages for you to persue.

OK! class dismissed. Now down to the serious stuff.

Apart from being very welcomed, your anonymity and trust of us, is highly respected here. You are safe to discuss your needs. As Felix mentioned please be aware of your Father, and have an exit strategy worked out to ensure your absolute safety. Safe people to stay with, money or resources to be able to make a quick get away. You probably won't need it, but it better to be prepared, if violence is an issue.

There is a lot of reading resources here for you to read on FtM and a large community that you can get to know, so you can discuss specific issues. Hope to hear more from you in the coming months. In the meantime, be safe, well and happy
Lotsa huggs
