Has anyone ever felt like this about pronouns or being misgendered

So far, the only one to switch pronouns has been my fiancee. Also, she has stopped calling me by my birth name. She calls me by ny nicknames which will be the same when I legally change my name to Nicholas. So in that sense, I think it has been easy for her since she really didn't have to change names. But she has been 110% supportive of everything.
My family has also been supportive. My mom even offered me to buy my packer and binder until I get my money so I could have them sooner. My grandma is also supportive though I think the generation gap makes her less understanding of certain things. Like changing pronouns before T. It wasn't a very pleasant experience when she started screaming "She wants attention! What the hell is wrong with her!" when I had stated I didn't want to be refered to as a girl.

Even after all was said and done, they still haven't switched the pronouns or names or anything. I have a younger sister. So maybe that's why. I really don't know. But whatever. I'm just gonna let things be.

Anyway though, switching pronouns in my head has become a big issue. I see myself as male. Physically. But pronouns and crap like that have been hard to switch up.
And when I go out and get misgendered. Basically called "miss" and what not, it really doesn't bug me. I just figure, they see breasts. It isn't their fault.

I read a lot about people getting dysphoric about things like this and what not. But I don't. I guess I just feel weird because of the pronouns and because it really doesn't bug me that people other than my family call me "miss".

It used to never bother me when strangers misgender me, but it's starting to annoy me more now. Like, look at how I'm dressed, do you THINK I want to be called ma'am?

Family is way worse though.

Hearing it from my family makes me cringe, but I've heard it for 32 years so it's relatively easy to ignore.  Hearing it from strangers cuts deep - mostly because it means I don't pass.  It happens pretty rarely these days, though.

Nah, you're not weird. My partner and one friend calls me by the proper name and pronouns. I don't really care about what strangers call me. It's nice to be sir'd, but eh, life is too short to get my knickers in knot over pronouns with strangers. I don't expect my family to make the switch ever, I will ask them to, but I won't throw a fit if they don't, or if they mess up. My grandparents are old, and if my dad really wants to point to the guy with scruff and say 'this is my daughter', he'll have to deal with the embarrassment, not me.

But then, I have always been super thick-skinned when it comes to being called things. I'm weird.

The more I pass the more it bothers me when I don't. At the same time, I'm not willing to stop what I'm doing every time I get misgendered. And I feel like a dick when I correct people who have seen my driver's license or insurance card.

My daughter switched pronouns when she realized I wasn't just playing a pretend game.

No one has yet to call me by a male pronoun.  My mom "tries", but she never does it..

I hate it when the guys at the checkout call me "lady".  What the hell?  I just want to scream EFF YOU at them every time I hear them say that.   I go out with my mom and another woman, but they don't dress feminine at ALL. So I just expect to hear "guys" all the time..    I wish people would say that.

I can't handle this too well. x.x  Especially since I only have one supporter - my mother.

You have supporters here on this site. I know that may be cold comfort. There are a lot of us, though, and we're not gonna misgender you. :)

Ugh, when I was a cashier I always got the moms that screamed over and over "GIVE IT TO THE LADY! GIVE YOUR CHOCOLATE TO THE LADY! SHE NEEDS TO SCAN IT! COME ON GIVE IT TO THE LADY!"

I do this. XD I try not to scream it. But it can be hard to get my kid's grubby little hands off of whatever I'm trying to buy for her so we can scan it. It is relevant to my interests to get the gender right, though. I think she and I both do a good job of that.

Noo, don't tell me that, now I can't think of strangling them without thinking of you, and I don't want to strangle you. :(

But omg she's so freakin' innocent! LOOK AT HER! She would totally never stab you in the throat in your sleep because you talked smack about the half-dead shield bug in a pickle jar she tried to show you. Really. >:-)

Yeah, she's totally precious. OK, if I ever have to be a cashier again I will play nice with children and parents, giving them the benefit of assuming that they're as sweet as the two of you.

Every time strangers call me she I want to ever so casually ajust my balls.  I am too much of a gentleman to actually do this though.
