It is perfectly possible to have a vulva constructed without a neovagina. It is called the Cosmetic option and is offered here in the UK when you are arranging your surgery. It should be less expensive, recovery time is quicker because the surgery is much less invasive, the risk of major complications is much lower.
I am sure that other SRS surgeons also do Cosmetic.
No-one forces you to have a neovagina created.
Quoteif I happened to already be in a steady relationship with a "normal heterosexual guy" prior would regular intercourse with him then indeed be enough ? ?
In the UK the medics coyly refer to it as "organic dilation"

Getting poked with a male member regularly certainly helps, though they do still recommend occasional dilation - the dilators are rock hard and shaped to be most effective.
What's your problem with dilation?
Yeah, it's a bind immediately post-op when you have to do it 3 or more times a day, but that's unavoidable, whoever does your surgery and how.
After 6 to 9 months the need drops to once a week.
What....... you can't be bothered to dilate yourself for half an hour once a week? REALLY?
Thank your lucky stars that you live in an era where it is possible, in a country that allows it.
If the people who went before us 40 and 50 years ago when there was NO system in place and the operations were more primitive had been such faint-hearted moaners, then you wouldn't be getting ANY operation at all - your only choice would be whether to live your life as a ->-bleeped-<-.
