Who or what do you imagine when you look inside?

I pretty much look on the inside like I do on the outside, but softer in both personality and looks.  Maybe another year on hormones will get me there. ;)

I look like Brad Pitt on the inside.

Outside, I'm way shorter, not as cute, and I'm working on the confidence that he exudes.

Just wanted to add a few things here to what I said above. I know many of you have read early postings in which I said that I believed I was transsexual. That during the time that Jillieann was suppressing JR. I Know that Jillieann still feels she is a female trapped in a male body and she's not really happy with it. She has already changed our body outwardly and would like to go allot further. So I would say that she is very similar to a transsexual woman.
Jillieann appeared last year as female but she was a child in many ways. And now she is growning and becoming her own person. We don't know yet what will become of us.
:) :)

Many years ago I had a dream, in the dream I was mostly female, not completely post op, but already with breasts, hips, long hair flowing... I was beautiful. I have no other memory of what was happening in the dream except of who I was. Just thinking of that dream makes me cry... When I look inside I see myself exactly as I was in that dream. The journey of my life is finding ways to integrate and express my inner vision of self with outer reality.

When I look inside, I see Me...far enough down the self-discovery road to have come to the understanding that just when you think you know something and have it nailed down, Life steps in and says "Tut! Tut! Tut!  That's not the way it goes," and your whole world turns upside down.

I can throw out a handful of labels so that everyone can slot me into the proper perspecive so that they know how to relate (I know it sounds bad, but that's the way people's minds work...I realize that the labels I apply to them do not fit them any better than the fit me, but it makes it easier to relate to their point of view).  So, my labels are:  Androgyne: Intergendered (66F33M), Sexual Preference is Feminine, Reminder flags: Beard, Nails Painted, Eyeshadow, (and hopefully) Trustworthy and Funny (I can hope)...

Ok, now that those are out of the way...I see a person who loves to play, loves to laugh, and who does things the way they think is best.  I consider myself to be slightly more feminine than masculine, but that really seems to be more of a state of mind...sometimes I just feel feminine, other times I don't.  Are there times I ever feel "Manly"?  Few and far between, probably because I almost never think of myself as a "man"...just as a "guy"...it may not sound like much, but the connotations of the two, to me, are completely different.

Just as my inward thoughts are not bound by gender traits, I have begun altering my outward appearance in order to reflect this inner freedom.  In places where I am not ready to deal with questions and problems (work, certain social situations) I dress in typical male clothes, but wear my nails long.  I have noticed myself dressing better lately and with more color.  Can't completely hide all myself, but there are a lot of us who aren't ready to come out to the world.  At other times, (home, trips to the store), I wear whatever seems to feel best for what I am doing...shopping is generally a mixture of male and female clothing...yardwork or working on the car generally involves male clothing as it is sturdier and I don't mind getting it dirty.

Ya put your right foot in.  You put your right foot out.  You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.  You do the Andro-gyney and you turn yourself around.  That's what it's all about.

It's kind of like my body is just a shell designed to let me interact in this physical world.

I read this portion of the post, and stopped dead in my tracks.
Often times, when I get so wrapped up (if you'll forgive the figure of speech) in my attempts to alter my physical appearance such as binding and clothing choice, and it all seems to make no difference, I retreat inside to spend time around the true me. I told my TS friend about that one time and he asked me the question you posed in your subject, and my response was very similar to what I quoted from your post.
I don't really see any "thing" either... but I feel it.

I never remember what I look like in my dreams, I'm usually too busy controlling it to look at me. :3

i see a woman who may have sacrificed herself but has gained more than she lost. a loving family, the ability to be herself despite the circumstances and the opportunity to do the things that really matter.

A mirror only shows how the world sees you. You interpret that into how you see yourself because that's how your mind precieves it.

Interestingly, I don't imagine a person when I look inside.

My "personality" is made up of a gas of sorts.  It shifts and is many different colours.  I don't see a person and I don't see a gender.  It just *is*.

That's how I've always felt when I looked at me.

I spent a lot of years trying to be a girl.  I even put on makeup and styled my hair.

I finally gave up and I'm happier to be me.

Tay, I thought you'd get a kick out of my former avatar. This is the one I was talking about when I started that thread. It's a good picture of how I feel inside, and it sounds like what you're describing too. This is my own creation. You're welcome to use it if you like.

I don't feel like a guy or a girl... it's hard to put a finger on how I think I look inside. I have never felt comfortable being a girl. But I have no urge to be a boy. When I think of how I look inside... I guess it reflect this. I don't know. As I grew up people always asked if I was boy or a girl. I think maybe this is what I see. Someone you can't just tell. Though more masculine then feminine in appearance. I really don't know how to explain it.
