I work in retail and I am stealth.

I have a few friends there, and I have come out as gay to a few of them.

I was talking to my friend and she said she was talking to Sarah at work and sarah had said (about me) "hes so cute" and I said "she thinks I'm cute?" and my friend said, "yeah, oh and she knows you are gay" and I'm like "whattt? she knows??"

and then my friend says "oh and ___ knows too" (MY MANAGER!)

and she says "oh and Justin knows too" and I freak out for a second, cause I am more carful about guys finding out I am gay, and I always try to act more butch around him and my friend says "yeah, well he was suspicious but didnt want to ask you, so he asked me and when he found out he said "wow, i have a gay friend and I didnt even know it' "

pretty cool for a small town in TN right?

I am pretty razzed, feels a little weird to know that my boss knows, but hell, they dont seem to mind at all, and Sarah the lower manager said I was allowed to paint my nails for work.  I have been wanting to paint them black again, but never did because of work, it would be to annoying to only paint them on my days off.

anyway, just sharing, so i am pretty excited.

also, i turned 21!

that's really cool about how everyone took it so well and also, happy belated bday... hope it was a great one

That's awesome, Elijah.  I've been struggling with coming out as gay to my coworkers as I live in a small Southern town as well.  Still not sure what's best for me right now.  It's good to hear you had such a positive experience.
