O_O $930 .... what the hell?

Mine is $150 at max. I would suggest going somewhere else. My doctor doesn't take insurance for Trans needs, because of issues he has had prior, but I go every 5-6 months and it's only 200 all together(visits are $50) when I get bloodwork.

Seriously, try somewhere else. Does the doctor that you're going to for your HRT do bloodwork? If so, ask how much it is. There are probably a lot of primary care physicians - even in California - who will do blood work MUCH cheaper than 900 dollars.

That's exactly how I looked lol.

I didn't ask if they did blood work since they gave me a list of places to go. The dr also said this would be the lease expensive route too. Maybe it was expensive since I went to a 'Quest Diagnostic' facility instead of a doctor's office, maybe that could be the case? Idk.

At the hospital I went to, it cost way more than that.  Thankfully I have insurance so it was covered.  I never wanted to get my lab work done there again though, so I found an independent clinic which was so much cheaper.  Incredibly cheap.

I went to a local nutritionist store that was partnered with LabCorp.  For a CBC, CMP, and Total Testosterone level, it was about $70.  If I had gone directly with LabCorp, it would have been $110.  Not a bad price at all.

Since we don't know where you live, check out your local independent nutritionists or health food places.  Some may do lab work (so that you'll buy their supplements) or contract with someone.  LabCorp and Quest Diagnostic are good ones.  Free clinics may do blood work as well.

I would definitely try doctor's offices. That's such a ridiculous price.

Found another place price was down to 297 which I think was thru Lab Corp. Is that a decent price? They said it'd take about 2 days to get results. I think I may go with that...some advice would be good. Thanks guys.

On the bright side, while the dude at the front desk was lookin thru my paper he looked twice at my name and said Francis? Unfortunately I had to correct him, but either way after that he said youre welcome man...(well sorta sounded like maayn but i think that may just be me over thinking). And while walking today the crossguard was like are you gonna cross young man? my hood was on so that was half a point lol.

Lab Corp is the one my doctors office uses, they seem to be reliable.

Depending on your area, yes that would be a better price.  They were always really fast with my results.  Reliable as well like Sarah Louise said.

Adding on to the labcorp bandwagon. I paid next-to-nothing and got my results quickly.

I just wish there was something in the $100 range. I would.t mind paying that. Nearly 300 is pushing it but I just want to get these blood tests done though.

Do you have any free clinics or low-income clinics in your area/surrounding areas?  Call around to different LabCorps, clinics, and hospitals to compare prices.

The doctor one of my friends goes to charges 40 for the consultation and 75 for blood work. This is in San Diego though, I know you're in Cali but you didn't state where =/

The words "blood work" can mean a lot of thing. The cost is directly related to how many things they are checking for. A "full panel" could cost $1500+. I tell my doc I am self pay and "What do we HAVE to check?" Unfortunately testosterone levels are some of the more expensive things to check.

Hey Stephe I figured that's why it may have cost so much. There's about 7 things checked off.

Aniya I'm in Fullerton area.
