I was a lurker for about 1 minute while I was signing up, hahaha.  The site was recommended to by a friend on here so I joined right away.

About 20 minutes lol.  Felt down and decided to see if there were others like me :)

About five minutes.

It wasn't so much the quality of the content as it was the overall activity level that appealed. Nice to see that in the following few years, this place has not changed noticably in that regard.

+1
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain, I like watchin' the puddles gather rain.

Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage

I first found Susan's a few years ago and would visit every now and then. But for the last year have been here on a regular basis seeing what was being discussed, looking for answers, tips, whatever random stuff I needed to know, etc. I've never really been in to the forums thing, but I just had to join this one. Glad I did!

I was already active with queer stuff irl and had been going to trans groups for I'm not sure how long. I figured there were online forums and decided to go find one and sign up. It was actually a harder step for me than coming out to anyone in person, because I feel like once it's on the internet, it's out of my control and very public.

I joined the day I found the place. Took me longer to get used to it and be active.

Idk not long lol. I kept googling trans stuff and I was frequently ending up here, so I figured I'd just make an account so I could talk.

Nope, I heard a trans friend talking about the forums here and decided to check it out today

I joined pretty much right away. Lurking would be creepy :)

I lurked for many a year before I finally joined, and since I joined I've still largely been a lurker. i enjoy reading a lot, but I dont post a lot. Starting to try to change that. I really realized that I dont have much of a transgender community in real space. So I felt the need to connect with a bigger transgender community online. Looking forward to getting to know all of you better!

I lurked for 3-4 months before joining. I had went through the hundreds :p of pages of the "You look great" and "Before and After" and "Could I Pass One Day" threads and they actually helped me a heck of a lot. Before I thought i'd remain a girl trapped in a guys body, but those threads and the pictures of the many beautiful people in them certainly had a positive impact on me and my expectations.

I think lurking is good enough or even necessary for some people.
