What's the best thing I can do to help change my voice. I've been searching on google for a voice coach in the Phoenix, Arizona area and only seem to find singing coaches. One girl also mentioned a woman on YouTube that was really helpful I can't find the post now and wish I would of bookmarked it.
This site produced a good list for your area.
http://www.asha.org/proserv/When I was looking, I explained that I am a male to female transsexual looking for someone who does voice feminization therapy and mass emailed it to everyone in my area. I got 2 responses from therapists that do this plus several responded with info about others they knew who do this in my area. I also talking to the local colleges that have speech therapy as part of their curriculum but none of them here do TG voice work.
I really liked the second one I talked too and it was well worth the time and money taking lessons from her. I took about 10 sessions over a few months, once a week at the start and then later once a month. I know some people teach themselves but I highly recommend you see a speech pathologist for at least a few sessions to get you started off in the right foot. This other person was right, don't practice for long periods to start with or you can damage your voice. You have to work up to doing this for long periods of time. I also noticed my adams apple has mostly disappeared from my voice training, which is a nice bonus.
