I always sit to pee at work, Im not gonna haul along a bulky stp

no one says anything, although I always wait till the room is empty, and if someone walks in I just sit and wait and pretend I am taking a dump lol

I have had lower surgery and can pee at a urinal.  Occasionally I have stream/spray issues and it's not 100% foolproof.  So in many cases I choose to sit.  I don't think it is a big deal at all.  A lot of the cis-men I know sit also.  So sit with confidence!

I have used a few men's bathrooms, even though I don't pass all the time yet. (I blame the T, it has given me a huge confidence boost and my uni is safe) I know how to use a STP but I normally just use the stalls. My partner/husband (cis) always sits down, even in public restrooms and no one even thinks about it. Even my brothers sit down. Its pretty normal from my understanding.

The only time my sweetie chooses to stand is if the toilet is nasty.

Trust me. Lots of cis guys are pee shy. Lots of guys have anxiety about peeing right there next to another dood.

I'd like to use this topic to ask the guys about something I just never understood: why would one ever desire to use a urinal where you're almost in plain view and can't wipe, instead of the toilet?

Sometimes the toilets can be really messy.

I have witnessed the phenomenon many times already, but since most pee standing, it shouldn't be the end of the world, no?

You can do the job faster standing at a urinal. I always take a while getting going, better in a toilet, more privacy and always easier sitting down more relaxed. I agree if the urinals are busy & a guy stands at the toilet there is collateral spray, messy and should be cleaned after. If there are other toilets and one is messy I move on to another one, otherwise you have to clean up another persons mess.

Last night I went to a pub down the street, and when I had to pee I found there was one stall and two urinals. There was a guy puking in the stall, the urinals were free, and somebody was coming in the door behind me. If I'd had an stp device and practice using it then peeing would have been so much easier.

I haven't come out at work yet because my boss has been gone a lot this month ever since i decided I was going to tell her so I haven't been able to use the mens room there but I do get a lot of funny looks by the female customers when I go into the female bathroom. My son went into the wrong bathroom the other day and I had to go into the women's to help him at our local library and got some pretty weird looks too haha but like everyone said most guys don't care if you sit they just assume your taking a dump or are lazy

I always sit. I couldn't use an STP without getting in on my jeans so I gave up, it doesn't bother me though.

I sure like the idea of using a STP, would make everything great in the men's room to be able to stand at an urinal and pee through the fly in your jeans.  I have a STP but still haven't mastered using it with my jeans up.  I have no problems in the shower but leak every time I time I have tried it with my jeans up.

Therefore everyone sits down from time to time.

I have been to a bar where sitting to pee would really not be an option if you want privacy. The toilet was merely placed in there with a small dividing wall... no door, and everyone coming into the restroom could see you. Know your surroundings or you're screwed

For a while I was really debating this, not knowing what to do.

My mom, in an act of kindness, fixed it all in one swoop for me. She said that her boyfriend (cismale) always sits. He said it's more comfortable to him, and easier. Now I have no qualms about sitting down. I'm still mastering my STP, so I think there will be days I'll sit, and days I stand. Either way, I rarely use the facilities in public (10 hour days at my work ain't got nothin' on me!), because I have a shy bladder anyway, but when I do, I sit. No one has said a word.

No one's gonna notice, they don't pay attention to that kinda stuff. And even if they did notice they wouldn't say anything about it... it's weird. Also just cause you're sitting down doesn't mean their first thought will be "WOMAN!". Some guys do it too.

wheat thins are delicious

I actually was sitting, and some teens came in started being rowdy and shaking the stall door and shouting things, threw paper towel balls over into the stall.  All in all a very scary experience.  It wasn't cause I was trans though, they didn't even know who was in the stall, just teens being ->-bleeped-<-s I guess. But that was like the first negative experience out of hundreds of good ones.
