I'm thinking of passing as male for my junior and senior year.
I'm going to dye my hair black and either blond or red, any tips for hair styles that could help me not look too feminine while still having kind of "skater-long" hair, no buzz-cut. Lol.
Also, here is my school's uniform:
My school has a very strict uniform policy, khaki or navy blue pants, white, red or navy blue solid colour shirts, you must wear a belt and shirts must be tucked in, and only white brown or black shoes, but no shoes other than dress shoes are allowed. None of the clothing or shoes can have logos on them either, and sweaters jackets and coats must follow uniform color also.
But you see, even on cismales, these uniforms either feminise or just look stiff and boring unless you are breaking the rules and wearing off colour things (like a black jacket, a brown belt, a white belt, brown shoes, or your belt is not break-your-pelvis-tight) and you end up suspended or in isolation.
Please have some tips for wearing a school uniform while still looking male.

Also, they changed the rules with a new assistant superintendent (the other one got fired for raping a student) and a new principle: no jackets at all unless the temperature reaches under 20F (almost 10 degrees below freezing), if you are caught wearing hats, gloves, mittens, or jackets it is an automatic 3 day school suspension.
And no "non-earlobe" piercings are allowed if your skin tone does not match the jewellry. oh, and they are trying to ban stretching and even retainers, meaning you cannot wear the clear jewellry so your holes do not close up, even in your ears.
Oh and your purse cannot be big enough to fit a medium book in. Oh and you will get your phone taken up for 180 days if you are caught with it on campus, even after school hours are over or before they begin. And they are trying to make it to where you back pack must be clear and you cannot have a messenger bag and they are trying to get the board to agree to install a metal detector at the school entrance.

Holy crap. You're reallly under the watch aren't you? You certainly don't have much leeway to change the way you dress. While you sort all that through, focus on doing your best in school. A good education is the only thing you wear that can open doors and provide an income your whole life.

I hope you can sort this out to where you feel comfortable.

I'm at the top of my class. My grades have never reached below a B since fourth grade (8 yo)
I'm very good in school so that's no problem. :)

Wow that's strict. Our school (that I teach at which is a middle school) just liberalized the dress code to include nice jeans and striped polo shirts (from no jeans and plain polos). The kids can also use any sort of backpack or bag they wish.
In my class (which is self contained), I let the kids take off their polo shirts for the last class on Friday. It's quite a good reinforcer.

Too bad none of this dress code crap has ever shown to have any correlation to behavior or by this time we'd have perfect kids.  ::)

(I think it comes down to hair cut?)

I got in trouble for having "Catcher in the Rye" and a Salvadore Dali art book (it has nude and twisted art) and we can't have ANY kind of backpack because of weapons, drugs, and pornographic material and paraphernalia and gang-related things (including a bandana, so I cannot have a cool black and white checkered bandana tied around my backpack strap even to identify myself as an individual)
I once got suspended a week for no belt because my new puppy chewed it up and the principle was trying to make an example to other students to how important rules are that they will have no exceptions, so I inevitably failed my seventh grade science class because 1 got suspended for a week, so I didn't learn anything and 2 I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and my school is crazy lol

You got in trouble for having "Catcher in the Rye"? That was required reading for my AP English Lit class! Hearing about suppression of this type just boggles my mind.

As for passing, you have very little to work with, but those pictures you showed seem as they would work pretty well. And the only thing you seem to have the leisure to change is your hairstyle.

Yeah, it's on the banned books list here (I think, that's what my principle told me) but I loved the book (my brother got it for me) and I kept it in my bag and on random drug, weapon, and phone check day, guess what they found! My school is stupid lol

Yeah, my hair. I'm trying to grow it out so I can get any style I want since I think black hair looks great with blue eyes and pale skin and long hair

My school uniform is pretty strict too and sounds a lot like yours lol. We can wear any shoes though and we don't have to wear belts, or tuck our shirts in. You just look like a bum if you don't lol.

So anyways:

Shoes - I highly recommend brown or black dress shoes. Preferably with a squared off toe, it's screams masculine more than a rounded toe. Also, the simpler the better. The ones you before posted are a tad feminine imo; ik they are marketed for men, but uh . . . they look feminine to me.
Here's a good example of what I recommend:

Shirt - If you're worried about hips being noticeable, get your polo one size up. Also, white polos with regular fit khakis seem to minimize hip visibility and give a straight up and down look.

Pants - From my 12 years of wearing uniforms, black shows curves more than khaki for some reason o.O. Also, go for regular fit pants, again, if you're worried about hips. Just get a size up if they are too tight. (I had to try on tons of pants last year before I realized husky fit legs are too wide and I just need to get regular fit so I don't look huge.)

Belt - Well uh . . it doesn't matter a whole bunch. Black belt with khaki and dark brown belt with black.

Best of luck!

Morgan.

Wow. Your school sounds *crazy* strict. My school was very strict on school uniform as well, doing uniform checks during our morning assemblies etc.

Has your school had experience with violence in the past making them this strict/cautious? It sounds like one big over protective parent lol. And Catcher In The Rye.. Wow. That book is excellent. It is insane that it's banned in your school. What other sorts of books are on that list? ???

Salvadore Dali books lol

And our school is a five star or blue ribbon school; very good scores
Our neighbour school is very violent though. The welfare (no offence) and the project kids, gangs, drugs, etc. I think about 2 or 3 kids got shot there in the past year. And I think they change superintendents every year almost because no one can deal with the students
And there teacher-student relationships (middle and high school)...
We aren't a bad school, just our neighbours are.
There's also a very good school, high test scores, low crime-violence, etc but they don't have a uniform, and they hardly have any trouble with indecent clothes. I don't know why our school doesn't follow them

We read Catcher in the Rye too. I doubt it is in the school library where I teach.
I think concentrating on your education makes sense.
