hi girls
Okay this might be alittle offensive for some but its not my intention.

I Just feel I seem way more "girlfriengs" amount mtfs, than ftm..
with figths, I dont mean like hitting, I mean stuff like getting into heavy discussions and leaving nasty comments and so on.
its not related to this site but just in geneal.
am I alone felling this? or is there a logical reason?

do you think there more fights between mtf than ftm or do you feel its equal?

Ha! You're kidding me right? I've been to the ftm section and you guys have just as muchshadyness, if not more, than the mtfs. And besides, y'all seem very unappreciative and unwilling to lend advice to the younger ones. Just my perception of things, a bit tired of people trying to say the mtf's are the only catty ones. ::)

One thing I have to wonder is, what kind of answer were you expecting?hmmmm :-X

A partial masculine brain -so many years of testosterone- plus indoctrination as a male (read: you must be assertive), add some estrogen to the mixture... and BAM! you get all this nasty catfights

To be honest, this place isnt much differnt than any place teenage girls gather as far as the nasty comments. Makes sense to me that with this much insecurity and hormones it would be like this. I am pretty well controlled but sometimes I find myself about to post mean hurtful things, mainly due to jealousy or my own insecuritys, I do go out of my way to screen my posts though.
15 years on Susans, where has all the time gone?

Growl.  Hiss.

Whenever you get people together of different backgrounds, views and opinions, you will get them bumping heads.

This place is haven compared to half the internet forums I visit (Mostly gaming related)... xP There will naturally be arguments and stuff anywhere people gather, but it's honestly not nearly as bad or even a problem when you look at it that way.

To be perfectly logical and objective (and to generalise according to likely proportions), MTFs were raised as men, which entails to notably defend your point vividly and to basically walk on whoever disagrees. It's also likely to have left a profound trace of aggressivity on many of us, because that's how both education and testosterone showed us to settle things.

On the other hand, FTMs were raised as women, which entails to be understanding and soft. It could also have left some sort of "inferiority reflex"/shyness when sexism remained in the education (which is sadly pretty often). Moreover, years of having a body dominated by oestrogens could have taught the person to reason and feel before acting and talking.

There's also another thing. Today's society, but to a much greater extent, the historical "feminist boom" is telling women to be assertive and fight for themselves, as a reaction to past and present oppression. MTFs, especially previously conditioned by that "manly" history of theirs, could have taken those teachings to heart.

No offense, but wth?

What century and world do you people live in? Yes, women are not AS agressive as men (physically) but they are every bit confrontational when it comes to arguments, and challenges of inellect.

Did the feminist movement pass you people by or something? Do all of you just happen to live in flyover?

Does no one here live in the civilized world?sheesh.

Re: why so much girlfight?

Eh, I've seen (and unfortunately experienced) this kind of thing in school and later on the workplace. It's normal when a large group of women are thrown together. Our culture pits women against one another. Doesn't have anything to do with being trans.
Of course the women on this site better behave.

Ehm, from what I've seen, women (mostly) become confrontational with age. Girls my age aren't really that way at all. In average, that is. And men tend to soften up as they age, actually. So I'd attribute women being confrontational to society/needs/having lived through feminism/other factors rather than "a natural tendency".

Well, I might be a little biased because I was raised by a very, uhm, "strong" woman who didn't leave a good impression on me at all, but I still think I'm not too far off. On the other hand, though, seeing Adam1's reaction, maybe it depends greatly upon the location.

I try not to be catty, but to just state my opinions. As a result of my non-interactiveness, I feel I often go unnoticed, but it's not really all that much of a deal.

To be honest this is better than as I expected, a bunch of honest opinions and alot of funny cat pictures.. :D

As I mention before this is not really related to susans, I dont feel theres so much fight on susan compared to other places, and it not like I check the mts forum so often that I would notice (I do once in a while but mosty the ftm)

for the comunities I hang out it just seams to be few transpeople putting down others and being pretty harsh on other members and for some reasons it seams to be way more mtf than ftm which of corse is a shame, But I dont know if there just is more girl fight or if if just those experience I seen more had been on the girls for any random reason or whatever...

(daim im so bad at explaining myself....)
