50s?   Mere children, I say.

Welcome, Sylvia.  I, too, began my gender questioning in my 50s.  In my case, fully resolved with surgery by Dr. Meltzer.

Another big help in getting to square 2 and beyond is participation in a transgender conference like Southern Comfort, Esprit (a full week), First Event, Texas T-Party, etc.  A week of being yourself might answer some questions.  It did for me.  I came home from my first Esprit in 1998 and went full time!

Next week, my husband and I are returning to Esprit to help others and to have fun.   (Not going to let any crossdressers outdress me.)

Hope to see you on Chat.

Hi Sylvia,

Nice to see you found Susan's, a great place to meet people who are seeking their place in the gender spectrum. In my experience, a therapist can also be of value in figuring out gender issues. I hope to see more of your posts.

Hugs,

Rhonda

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
My work takes me away from home a lot, so I have lots of time on occasion to explore this side of the fence.
Have recognized the need to "get out more" so I think Ive just about convinced myself to go to the Be All in Chicago, even if I have to go alone.  Might need a little "push" ,if anyone has any encouragement please step up to the podium:)

Thanks again!!!
