I once saw a topic that was like Jeff Foxworthy's  "You know you're a redneck" thing. It was "You know hormones are working when...". I didn't think it was fair that people like me, who are trans, but not on HRT yet, couldn't join in on the fun. So I made a new topic.

The objective is simple. If you're MTF, list any girly things you already do, despite not being on HRT yet. If you're FTM, list any boyish things you already do, despite not being on HRT yet.

I'm MTF, so here goes:

1. I made my friend a strawberry torte cake for his birthday.
2. I know what a strawberry torte is and how to bake one.
3. I watch Desperate Housewives and when Tom and Lynette got back together, I did the classic girl high-pitch squeal and rapid clap combo.
4. I own a teddy bear collection.
5. I get excited when I see a baby and start doing the classic baby voice.
6. I shave my legs with the Venus Embrace razor.
7. I am a gymnast. (Some male weight-lifters call gymnastics a sissy sport, despite me being able to do the handstand push-ups they can't.)
8. I know what an a-line skirt is and I've helped my girl friends shop.
9. I get bored when watching sports and never understood why men like to watch them. I prefer to play.
10. I actually know exactly how I want someone to propose to me.
11. I have Victoria Justice, Christina Agulaira, Cascada, Cindy Lauper, and many other "girly" music artists on my i-pod.

Before HRT, I could sew...by hand or with a machine (Still can, of course...but before guys would always look at me funny, and girls would say, "Oh that is SOOoooo COOL!")

I wave hello and goodbye "girlie".

I listen and consider other's viewpoints. (Men often said I "converse like a woman.")

I'm compassionate; never been one to say "GET OFF YOUR ASS AND MAKE SOMETHING OF YOURSELF!!1!" Even if a person *is* lazy, there's probaby a reason for that, and I try to drag it out of them...men don't care about reasons, they just want "it" done.

I would break out in a dance spontaneously if I saw something that made me happy.

If I believe I am MTF...

- I watch every cartoon series aimed at little girls, from My Little Pony to Monster High (and soon i'll start with Jem)
- I have a few dolls, including a Blythe. not to mention the pony collection (yes, I was pissed of with the toys I could play with as a kid)
- Sometimes I'll paint my nails (just to remove the polish before 15 minutes)
- Can't watch any "manly" sport. I get bored in an instant
- I know more about femenine fashion than masculine
- I've been reducing the amount of swearing over the latest years
- I never sit "leg spread, need space for my balls" (I hate when people do this)


I also have Cyndi Lauper on my walkman. You never forget your first one (Goonies 'R Good enough).

-I watched daytime soap operas for most of my childhood (I would tape them to watch after school).
-I've listened to, and identified with, the music of Tori Amos and PJ Harvey since I was a teen.
-I can't understand why anyone would want to pee standing up.
-I love a good chick flick. My favourites are The Notebook and The Devil Wears Prada.
-I can easily differentiate, and appreciate the difference, between 20 different shades of white.

OK.  So I am not a girly girl.  I do things that can be contrary to being female.

Football (American).  Root for my teams.
Sci Fi and horror moves.
I can see a reason to pee standing.  Camping in the middle of no where, stuck on the side of the road.  But that is why they make a "Go Girl".

-lived in a small conservative town and being the first male in the schools history to attempt to sign up for home ec. and being told by the principal that you cannot and must take woodworking... I failed.
-you tried to get your partner to allow you to take their last name (I failed at that too...)
-you like to look at colours of houses and how to accessorize the house
-you start writing the list and realize that you could keep writing for the next dozen years nonstop.

Ok, I was having too much fun the first time, so I thought of a few more:
-I listened to "The Longest Time" by Billy Joel and wish he were singing it to me.
-My class had to take ballroom dancing in middle school. We had more boys than girls, so I volunteered to dance with any extra boys and let them lead.
-When I play Super Mario, I wish I were Princess Peach. When I play Legend of Zelda, I wish I were Princess Zelda.
-I was my sister's maid of honor at her wedding.
-I actually enjoyed picking out dresses with her.
-Whenever my friends come over, I prepare food and beverages for them if they're famished. They nicknamed me "mommy".
-We had to perform a skit of a scene of Death of a Salesman in English class. I was Mrs. Loman. I even wore a dress and wig.
-My high school has theme days every Friday. One Friday was cross-dress day. I straightened my hair (10 inches), borrowed my sister's dress and high heels, and came to school dressed as a girl. (Yay!)
-I once got a pedicure, manicure, and a male version of a bikini wax. (I won a raffle and got a free spa day.)
-I saw Magic Mike. 
-I always think I look fat, even though I know I'm not (Woman logic).
-I don't throw a hissy fit when a meal at a restaurant takes a while to arrive.

I wear a pink tutu to bed, and my earring are bigger than my nose
I exercise in a purple leotard and cry at the sounds of silence
I text while I rive my Fiat
I ride my "little  pony" while a listen to Mariah Carey whine
I have lots of barbies in the shelves at my office
I make tea for my teddy bear and cry when my boss scolds me
"Teen Mom" and "Jersey Shore" are "epic"
So, yeah, OMG, like, totally...wait, what are we talking about?

- I'm horrible at and can't stand talking about sports, and I think ESPN is just about the most boring channel on television.
- I'm not particularly fascinated by sports cars, trucks, or the internal combustion engine either.

- I am in the "housewife" role - My wife works full-time and when I'm not at college, I am at home watching the kids, doing laundry, cooking, cleaning, whatever. And I love being at home with the kids, so I enjoy it.
- I think this post soo much fun... I could go on and on, but I'll stop now. 

You all made me think of something. If people didn't pee standing, male toilets would be cleaner than usual...

This ^^ is factual, I have been doing the RLE for over 2 year, and sometimes the female bathrooms are so gross that I go to the boys (making sure there is nobody there first )

Then the story about clean and radiant female washrooms is an urban myth?. I remember my last days on fast food restaurants, and... One thing is to be incapable of aiming with the fire hose, but when it comes to the afterburner... Never again. I don't want to remember that time anymore.

Possibly, & if tacky/disgusting ciswomen didn't stick their used menstrual pads on stall doors or leave menstruation on the seat or floor, female restrooms would be cleaner also!     (*I have experienced that more times than I care to count.  & no, I am not saying all women are disgusting, only those that do things like above^^.*)

Back to the topic at hand, I am ftm:

*I have on more than one occasion *sniffed* a garment to determine suitability for repeat wear
*Most of my friends are male
*I remodeled 75% of my home solo & the same will apply to the remaining 25%
*One of my favorite pass times is watching WWE
*Drinking beer as if it were it's own activity or sport
*I love a good toilet humor joke; bodily functions are a sure win for laughter inducement
*I despise cosmetics, shopping, & gossip for the sake of drama mongering
*As a child I used an electric curling iron on my dolls' hair in an effort to prevent the parents from buying me more (it worked)
*In high school I talked the guidance counselor into transferring me to the guys gym class, which was insanely more comfortable, plus gave me the girls locker room all to myself (**The genders rotated days, for anyone who may wonder "how" I ended up alone in a locker room during hours**)

Okay, these are true for me too.

I did come up with a couple more for me.
-A girl in my class thought I was checking her out (told her that I just spaced out), but in actuality, I was trying to figure out where to get a dress like the one she was wearing.
-No joke, I seriously wore a thong the other day.
-Christina Aguilera's song "Candyman" turned me on...
-I went shoe shopping with my sister and liked it, even though the shoes were for her.
-My bed is littered with stuffed animals of all species, each with its own name. I'm not ashamed to admit that some of these names include: Cuddlekins, Mr. Snuggles, Hugsy, and Cuddlebuns.

I've been wanting to get one of those giant sized ponies (G3) for the bed for years... Oh well, small plushies had to do in the end.

I don't know how to put up pictures from my phone onto the computer, so this will have to do.

The bear in the picture is the same model as Mr. Snuggles. I don't see why you can't get a big plush toy. They're pretty fairly priced online.

Basically because I wouldn't have where to put it when going to bed. If I get my own home, I will think about it. Or maybe shelves for my dolls and Transformers...
