Okay, I'll start.

In no particular order:

1. Playing with my hair.

2. Wearing whatever I want.

3. Saying and doing whatever I feel like without being called a pervert.

4. Being called beautiful.

5. Being treated special.

6. Soft smooth skin.

7. Being hairless.

8. Showing emotion.

9. Being called 'Daddy's little girl.' (yeah, I know, but I love my dad and he still says it and it brings tears to my eyes.)

10. MEN!

There are more and I'll add them as they come to mind.

Please share the things you like about being female. I want to hear from women, androgynes, crossdressers - anyone female or who expresses their feminine side.  Ftms, if there is anything you enjoyed about being female, please post it.

Looking forward to your posts!

I think the only thing that has changed to a negative for me is being viewed with suspicion by women and being unable to talk to children without someone thinking I'm a perv.

The rest far outweighs that though, and now that I'm used to it, I just don't put myself in situations where someone feels at risk from me.

Talking for the sake of talking.

Being appreciated for being rather than for doing. (A man seems to be the sum of his actions, but a woman can do so much more)

Feeling playful and cute.

Feeling romantic and dreamy and silly.

All the bits that are more than linear utility, traditional masculinity seems to be about the things that are about practical survival, whilst traditional femininity seems to be about all the things that make life worth living,

There is a power in being a woman that I cannot explain. I would not want to be anything else.
A woman is soft yet strong, she has the ability to think with reason, but also to dream with wonder.

Oh yeah? Well I can think with two different body parts (albeit not at the same time) ;)

Yeah. I don't feel that in me, but I surely admire it in women. They are strong. Amazingly so.

I'm pretty much with Dennis on the question, though. The only thing I like about being female is being accepted without fear by women, and being recognized as the basically gentle harmless thing that I am by more or less everybody. I sometimes wonder how badly my various (not bad at all) encounters with police would have gone if I really appeared male.

I am a woman

I am woman hear me well,
I'm as talented as hell.
When you see me pass
I'm not travelling second class
'Cause I am woman.

I can hit a golf ball
long  and straight
then toss a gourmet dinner
upon your plate,
pound my gavel in a court
hand out justice  where it's sought
or head a giant corporation,
with wit and inspritation.

Yes I am woman hear me well
I'm as talented as hell
When you see me pass
I'm not trevelling second class,
'Cause I am woman.

I can hold a baby to my breast
and debate loudly with the best,
gently wipe away a  tear,
and patch any hole that may appear,
with a hammer nail and spanner
convert a house into a manor,
to a heart that's bent and broken,
heal with words so softly spoken.

yes I am woman hear me well
I'm as talented as hell
When you see me pass
I not travelling second class
"Cause I am woman.

I can mingle with the best,
pass any kind of test,
give birth with the kind of ease
that would bring man down to his knees,
I can knit and sew and mend,
design tall builings end to  end,
with a minimum of pain,
remove a tumour from a brain.

Yes I am woman hear me well
I'm as talented as hell
When you see me pass
I'm not travelling second class,
"cause I am woman.

I have a black belt in Karate
I can lead  a political party,
on any instrument I can tinkle
iron a shirt without a wrinkle
be the sovereign of a nation
a whiz at navigation,
then pilot a Jumbo Jet,
and give my heart to a homeless pet.

Yes I am woman hear me well,
I'm as talented as hell
when you see me pass
I'm not travelling second class
"cause I am woman.

A nuclear physicist I could be
an astronaut making history
a plumber or a nurse,
a grand speaker without rehearse
a barmaid pulling  beer
or the mother of the year
a detective fighting crime
or digging  coal down in a mine.

Yes I am woman hear me well
I'm as talented as hell
when you see me pass
I'm not travelling second class
'Cause I am woman

I can wield a heavy spade,
as a mechanic I make the grade,
I can form a beautiful bouquet,
plow a field and then toss hay.
There is nothing I can't do
yet I'm a lady through and through,
I have a voice I have a brain,
Need I bother to explain?

That I'm a woman hear me well,
I'm as talented as hell,
When you see me pass
I'm not travelling second class,
"cause I am woman.

Hi Nero, nice to see you again.  I'm glad you're still posting...  :)  Okay let me be serious now.  Hmmmmm, let's seeeee...

We (almost always) have someone to protect us (man wise) which makes us feel safe.  We also seem to have closer friends and are allowed to express more feelings.  We can wear skirts!  ;D.  Most women tend to be closer to children.  We also get away with excuses for not being able to do physically demanding things.  Most of the time, we don't have to ask the guys out, and we get the romance instead of having to give it.  LOL  ;D

Something I realized at dinner last night, a little history my BF and I dated we were both gay men when we would go out BTrans we got stares called names etc. etc.. Now being female I just love being able to hold hands and kiss my BF in public and nobody says a thing :)

Oh.. and I feel sexy, and sexually bold as a woman where I am the most boring, straitlaced man in the world...the female part of me is quite kinky.
  •

zombiesarepeaceful

I miss nothing =D IMO being male has more perks.

Surely it would just be you being you? If you where born female but with a male body, the best thing about being female, would just be the freedom to be who you really are and not someone you are not. At the end of the day what is the best thing about anything? whatever we make of it as people, as us in our own right, it doesn't matter if you are male / female / transsexual / black/ white/ green/ etc... as long as you are true to you and yourself. Too much time is wasted on people judging and critisising other people never enough time on understanding and acceptance.

My girlfriend and I talked about this, and we think the best things about being female are:

- bitching about anyone we want out in public ;)

- nice smooth, hair free legs

- snuggling up to each other on the lounge and watching TV. :)

- going out cycling/shopping and perving on other girls together, and point out the ones we missed to each other

- wearing my girly clothes (Sally), esp to work. :)  I love wearing my boots and skirt to work.

- people moving aside for you and saying your sorry

- the guys at work all of a sudden opening the door for you, when they didn't before transition (Sally)

- using the female toilets, they are a lot cleaner than male toilets (male toilets are filthy)

- going out shopping for stuff, and the guy at the counter thinks you do not know what you are talking about, but you start telling him what you actually want, and not what he wants to sell you.

- the looks on peoples faces when they see 2 girls holding hands

- being able to go to work with my nails painted and not have to rush around taking it off on a Sunday Night/Monday Morning (Sally)

I could not agree more.  I love feeling cute and pretty, and daydreaming, and being carefree and innocent.

I'm asexual no matter what, but when I feel primarily female, I'm very romantic, whereas when I feel primarily male I'm almost aromantic.
