hey everyone. i know some of you might wanna work out to get healthy, lose weight, or try and achieve a more masculine (or feminine) figure (i know i do)

I was at the bookstore the other day and i found this awesome book called "Felon Fitness" by Trey Teufel and William S. Kroger
It's basically a book depicting exercises you can do without having to go to the gym or buy expensive equipment. it shows you how to make homemade dumbbells from magazines and most of the exercises use your own body weight. I thought it was really cool. The exercises are ones that felons do in prison to stay in shape since they dont have access to weights and other stuff. It also has workout routines of actual felons in the back of the book. I tried some of the exercises and it really does kick your butt.

Just thought i'd share :) heres the website

Staying fit just ain't for you guys you know ;-) I can remeber a time when eating was beans and rice and on special occasion I had rice and beans, so I know about a budget. I used empty milk jugs filled with water and lots of isometrics and running of course for cardio.  I'll check out that link, maybe I'll keep some customers if I can keep training cost down, Thanks!!!!

I've heard of utilizing "everyday objects" for weight training. It's kind of like the old time strongman style of working out (which is an actual thing). I've used a 5gal water jug doing squats before ... that was pretty intense. 1 gallon of liquid weighs a little over 8lbs (so a little over 40lbs on the 5gal jugs).

I found a pull up bar at Ross (they usually have a tiny section with some random exercise stuff like small dumbbells, yoga mats, etc.) for only $9. I installed it in a closet doorway. Pull up stuff is certainly a cheap way to use your own body weight in exercises too.

@ insideontheoutside - pull up bars are awesome! i found one on the cheap too. they're great for building up shoulder and back muscles

@ jesse - sometimes the classic exercises are the best ones :) I wish i was fit enough to do military exercises. were you in the military?

@ Cyndigurl45 - that's so cool :) its not surprising because from your picture you look like an amazingly fit lady. do you enjoy your work?

This seems interesting... I've been wanting to start exercising, as I'm somewhat overweight, but I don't have money for anything. I didn't want to do running or anything, because I'm extremely dysphoric, and the idea of exercising outside (without a tight binder, as you need to be able to breathe, of course) makes me feel sick. Hell, even being totally alone and exercising without a tight binder makes me feel sick, but at least in that case I can bite the bullet.

I was really hoping for some exercises I could do in my bedroom that would help me to get in better shape without feeling self conscious about being watched. This seems like it would be the perfect type of thing (if you can do it in cell, you could certainly do it in a small bedroom!). Thank you for posting this!

@Dante:

Dude I'm just like you when it comes to not having money to buy equipment and not wanting to go outside for a workout.

Here's the solution I found a while ago :)

To lose weight:
Intense Fat Burning Routine!

Gain strength:
5 Killer Workout Routines!

But remember diet is 75% of losing weight and being healthy.

Also these workouts are HARD. Obviously you won't follow those guys, all you have to do is tone down the reps and set. Or do the exercises assisted(ex. knee pushups.)

I wouldn't recommend wearing a binder dude. Not at all.
While working out hard you need crazy amounts of oxygen in your body to fuel you muscles.
If your muscles have n fuel, then you will not reach your full potential. And your muscles need to be able to expend, move.
Pushups, use the chest muscles. Now imagine what a binder will do to them. It'll compress them and they won't be able to function properly. Use a sports bra instead, not a crazy tight one either. I know dysphoria sucks, but wait until you can do crazy amounts of exercises, and you're all fit and healthy. Which is worth more? ;)

Hope it helps :)

NO EXCUSES!
