Should it be 'two transgender people'? ' two transgenders' is a little dehumanising.

I think "transgenders" could be a translation of "travesti", a word that doesn't easily translate to English. Travesti are not men, they are not really "->-bleeped-<-s", and they don't describe themselves as women in the way most trans-feminine people in the U.S. do.

No, I saw the word "travesti" in local reports and decided to translate that with "transgender". English is not my native language, the wrong plural was an honest mistake :(

Pinknews actually mentioned 🔗 [Link: pinknews.co.uk/2016/01/20/three-trans-women-dead-and-another-stabbed-in-one-day-in-brazil/] the choice of words in Brazilian media.

"NB. Brazilian media refer to trans women as 'gay men' or '->-bleeped-<-s'."

It's also reported that in the mean time, two more Brazilian transwomen were killed.
