Good grief! I live in the buckle of the bible belt, and I haven't encountered such bigotry in person. That said, people seem much more okay with spewing hate anonymously online than to someone's face. Cowards.
Although, I have noticed that MtFs seem to get the brunt end of the trans-phobic jibes. :(

someone said the mtf transsexual made an ugly female, but as far as i'm concerned, she's beautiful, and i would love to see what that jerk looks like. i looked a little at the website, and it's a website for guns. it's mostly just hick guys that would be on there i'm guessing, and of course they just drink and act all masculine like i think zoe was trying to say. i'm not trying to stereotype, but the sad part is, that's just what they seem to me. they are not the subculture who are too fond of us.

What strange people. Thanks JessicaH, for warning me about a site I will never bother to look at.

I think one thing that got to me was the tone or feeling of superiority of the people. Totally that they were correct, no concept of the position or problems, and the attitude of which one would you like to F. And the feeling it was their right to be able to do so.

Yuk.

What?  You're surprised to find that at a site billed as "Your Firearm Resource" and sponsored by SWAT and Solider of Fortune type stuff?  You know Captain Louis Renault was shocked, shocked to find gambling at Rick's too.

I know a lot of firearms enthusiest and this is not them. I think it's a subset of this group and it seems that it was instigated someone from Brooke's home town. It's a real shame because I have chatted with both Brooke and her wife on FaceBook and they are really nice people.

I sent emails to several of the contacts from the website pointing out this hate filled thread that they are hosting (which violates their ToS). I kindly pointed out that their advertisers probably wouldn't want to be associated with a website spewing this kind of hate and that the Attorney General may be interested in some of the posts that could easily be construed as a terroristic threat.

I will post the AR15.com response later, if I get one.

Tell me why I'm not surprised. This sort of stuff isn't new to me anymore.

Hell no, they are armed to the teeth, high on gun porn and wet dreaming of Rambo.  A much better idea is to turn their kids into hippies and bleeding hearts and artists, because if this is their modus operandi  for solving problems it stands to reason they are going to be rotten parents.  And what with all that dreaming about full metal jackets, laser sights, and checkered grips that don't hold fingerprints and all that gun porn stuff -  you could probably talk their wife into slipping into something more comfortable too.  As their own bumper sticker says: My wife yes, my dog maybe, my gun never.  OK then.

I've seen the show they're talking about. The husband decided to not transition and said she didn't feel female anymore at the end.

Interesting thread.. On most forums and boards those guys would get banned and flagged very quickly. Do they have no mods on there?

Actually, Brooke held back a lot on the show and is continuing transition. I have cahtted with her and her wife and they are very nice people. Her wife is VERY supportive and understanding.

The nerve of some people.  >:(
Their only reason for bashing others is because the internet prohibits their victims from knowing their faces and names.  >:(

At a forum I post at one of the members always goes out of his way to refer to me as 'him' and he uses 'his' as well.   On rare occasions when he is feeling generous he will refer to me as 'it'.    This has been going on for four years.   I don't engage with him in anyway, I have found out through experience that some people will never ever accept me as I am.

P.S.  He is always posting that he wants to have sex with me!

There were a few nice comments on there. And the actual video was good. I really love how they accepted each others flaws. It was lovely.

I think that forum was full of young idiot >-bleeped-<s who don't understand it's important for everyone to be loved.
