"Democratic Senators Bob Hasegawa of Seattle and Steve Conway of Tacoma voted against the bill, saying the rule, created by the state Human Rights Commission, was protecting civil rights. Sen. Karen Keiser, a Kent Democrat, also voted against the measure."

Fortunately, the article seems to say the bill will never clear the procedural hurdles needed to allow to come to the vote.
These bills will keep coming up until we as a community educate the general population about our bathroom needs.

The ones putting these bills forward are like cockroaches. The keep scurrying out of their dark places to be slapped down.

"A bill to repeal a rule allowing transgender individuals in Washington state to use public bathrooms based on their gender identity has cleared a state Senate committee.
The Daily Signal reported previously that the state's Human Rights Commission approved the rule, which requires such access to sex-specific facilities including bathrooms and locker rooms. It took effect Dec. 26."
