I was just wondering - (55yo m2f)
My Testosterone, Total, IA is 23
My Estradiol is 743

I see others who post that their Dr are shooting for 200-400 range for E and <10 for T.  I'm wondering if a call to the DR in in order for either of those.

Also does higher E result in faster breast development?

Your testosterone is within female limits.  However, the last time I had an endo appt my T was <3 and I told the Dr that I was feeling tired.  I asked if I should reduce my spiro and let the T creep back up some.  She said it was up to me but if I did it might slow down or reduce development.

I decided not to take less spiro and have since self diagnosed and self tested for low magnesium and low iron.  That seems to have fixed the tiredness problem.   I don't think the low iron and magnesium was related to HRT but rather to four whole blood donations in six months.

If that is a measure of estradiol it is pretty high.  If it's total estrogen (including estrone) it's probably not too high.

It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.

Higher E does not necessarily result in better or faster breast growth. I actually had better breast growth on oral estradiol with lower levels of estradiol (E2) than on injections with levels exceeding 1,000 pg/ml. Finding the right dose for YOU is what the doctor should aim for, while keeping you healthy. Please indicate units when stating levels.

I'm assuming your total T is 23 ng/dl, mine is 8 ng/dl, I'm post-SRS. Normal range is anywhere from 8-90 ng/dl. Estradiol normal range is quite wide in women, from 20 to 650 pg/ml during a menstrual cycle and up to 75,000 during pregnancy. Mine is 1,000-4,000, yours is higher than typical menstrual cycle numbers but under pregnancy levels.

Hormone levels FLUCTUATE on a daily basis so aren't very accurate. Also, the ideal level cannot be established in advance as everyone's sensitivity and circumstances differ. Some do great on low levels, others may need higher. The doctor should determine this based on your feedback and their sound judgment.

Silly me:
The results say:
Estradiol: 743 Units: pg/mL Reference Range: < OR = 39pg/mL
TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL, MALES (ADULT), IA: 23 Units: ng/dL Reference Range: 250-827ng/dL

Estradiol is best measured before your next dosage as it will be higher just after a dose. Pills can generate number like that when they are held in the mouth but 24 hours latter levels can be in the menopause range so how you take your medication and the point in the cycle where you are tested will determine if the levels are high or acceptable.
