Sister got the doc out to see mum, she is back on antibiotics and painkillers. Doc was also going to see if he could get careers back. I did leave it to my sister to sort out as I could see mum was not right as she is much better at stuff like this. I knew she was coming over later to do mums lunch.
Not much hope of seeing the eclipse, darn great cloud in the way. Typical--------rest of sky clear!!

At mums till 2pm looking after her, sister stayed the night and had to sleep on sofa as full of books ,wool and junk!. I cleared it all so she can use it tonight, room needs a good sort out and hundreds of paperback books need to find a new home. Mum was in pain from her neck and had trouble eating and drinking, I went to docs on way home and he rang and said use the strong painkillers she had before. Mum said they made her ill but that was the bladder infection and sepsis so I hope they work this time. Have to babysit her again tomorrow morning till lunch time so no workshop time again.
Still over 30C today but its breaking from tomorrow, we might even have rain!!

Have to stay at mums tonight, no mobile signal and no internet. We both said this morning she needs internet and a fall alarm. Looks like the painkillers are helping but she is still in pain when moving, she went back to bed this morning and I managed to do some weeding. Had to feed her lunch as it hurt to pick up the food. Packing a bag and going back in a bit.

Had to feed her breakfast, she did try but pain was to bad. She went back to bed ,sister taking over. Went home, changed and went down the workshop. Wrong repair kit for brakes so have that to sort, did a spot of welding and back home for 1.30. Back at mums for tomorrow morning, hope sister gets something sorted this week with help.

Mum sitting again till 3pm ,have to go there tomorrow morning for a bit. Got car booked in for inspection on 24th. I half filled mums garden rubbish bin this morning, there is enough stuff to weed/cut back to fill it!
Messaged about my coil overs to see when they will be done, we are waiting for you to send measurements they said. Yup the ones I sent in June and still showed on E Bay Sunday as sent that have strangely vanished now, mmmmmmm conspiracy theory anyone!!
Had to go to Docs and say where is my repeat patches,  by the time I got home (like 2mins) Doc had sent it down to chemist and they messaged me to say we will tell you when its ready! At least something works.

Sister working this morning so I mum sat again, physio came to asses mum and gave her a polite telling off for making her neck worse by tensing it up. I had been telling her for over a week to relax and drop her shoulder. Anyway she has exercises and we will see if we can get better pain meds.
Meanwhile back home and making pasties for dinner, filling cooling and home made pastry in fridge chilling.

As sister is mum sitting all day I was going down the workshop early till I got a text saying my front coilovers will be delivered today between 10.40 and 11.40, need to stay in as this delivery company have a habit of not leaving stuff if you are not in. Late down the workshop then!

That is a narrow one hour delivery window.  I wonder if they will deliver in that forecasted timeframe, or if they update it and let you know, then if they make that updated timeframe.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Well it came early,10.20! So today I made the lower wishbone mountings for the coilovers, they put the top fixings on the bottom but it worked out better for mounting so just need the spacer tubes I have turned down.
Called at mums on way back, aunty and uncle there and my sister and husband. He had done a lot of tidying up that was my next garden job so saved me some work. Food shop tomorrow then and mum sit till sister comes back.

So glad you have help caring for your Mum. Being a caregiver plus trying to get your own things done can be taxing. Hugs to you and your sister.

Did the food shop, every person that cant drive was out on the road today holding me up. Then the petrol station bloke was dealing with 8 cages of stuff for the shop so got held up waiting for him, did manage to wizz around the supermarket okay. Same driving to mums, some of the drivers are dangerous going slow.
Had to sit with mum while my sister went on a cleaning job, mum lay in bed. I said do you want some dinner but you have to get up, she said it hurt to much (still despite the painkillers) and could she eat in bed. I said NO as sister said she cant eat in bed incase she chokes. Well she stayed there so I left it to my sister to sort her out. I am back there tomorrow morning as sister cleaning again till she comes back. I have to spend all day Sat and Sat night there. No internet so will be dark for a bit!

Mum sat this morning and cooked her lunch, pork steak in the air fryer and swede with some very baby carrots from the garden. I cut the swede into 1/2ins cubes and boiled it with the carrots, cut the pork into chunks so mum could pick it up with her fingers. She ate it all apart from 2 bits of pork, lay in bed with the top section raised (its an electric adjustable bed she got for dad) so nothing wrong with her appetite.
Chopped some stuff in the garden but had to leave it in a pile as bin is full, had a look in her other freezer and ended up throwing stuff out as some had been there since 2023! Brought some lamb mince home and some rhubarb that said 2013, not sure if its okay but its defrosting at the moment . If I get sugar it might turn into jam. Loads of frozen plums and blackberries in there as well that are at least 2 years old so might be more jam making then!
Nurse came to see how the bed sore had healed and it has gone so no more visits needed, sister has sorted some help so may get to go down workshop more often.

It's good to hear your mum is on the up.

Having a good appetite is a very healthy sign

Bushed now after mum sitting and then going down the workshop, I did a load of gardening yesterday while mum slept and filled a builders barrow with all the trimmings. Managed to cut my left little finger with the secateurs but its healed up now , swift clean and a plaster with antiseptic cream worked.
Playing catchup with telly and online stuff now.

Should get some more me time soon as we have managed to find a carer who can call in on mum. Picked the plums from mums tree, most of them came away when I touched them so must be ripe. Not sure what to do with them yet, stewed and froze or jam.
Car failed its test, rusty hole in rear suspension arm. £68 for a new one with fitting kit, it will need the kit as bolts rusted into inner bush so thats the grinder then!
Just made a fig tart, looks okay so some for pudding with yogurt. Kofta for tomorrow cooked as well.
