hi all I have some good news that I wanted to share with you all. since my orchiectomy surgery and starting estrogen 4-1/2 years ago I was chugging along my breasts were growing thanks to genetics, but my body was looking like a sack of potatoes, I weighed 178 on my 5'-8 1/2" frame until five months ago when my doctor put me on mounjaro for my diabetes. That's when everything started to change, the combination of estrogen and mounjaro caused a drastic reduction in fat in my mid-section, legs, arms, back, actually everywhere except for my hip and breasts, estrogen made sure that fat stayed. as a result, today I'm 135 lbs., 44 busts x 27 waist x 35 hips. In spite of my non-gender affirming self, I couldn't hide my assets any longer. I used to be a short chubby male and now I'm a tall slender busty woman with an hourglass figure. I felt a need to share this information in hope someone may find it useful. I hope this picture is appropriate for this site.
thanks for letting me share.

Hi Darilee

That's what I'm hoping to be like in the spring/summer after my bariatric surgery.

I'm in the process of buying new clothing. I've learned that transitioning isn't just about changing oneself, it also requires changing everything else. Will it ever end?

Wow, congratulations! It's like a dream come true. Then again, I'm sure this took a lot of work on your part. Kudos for taking those steps.

I have to ask (no need to answer if too personal). Since your orchiectomy:
1. Were you able to retain bottom function?
2. Have you needed to supplement T? I've heard that can happen.

After 4 years of HRT, I'm still fighting to keep my T down. I'm taking spironolactone and I don't like it. Id much rather have the things removed but I'd like to retain function. I've had no problems with it so far.

Thanks

It could be seen as changing, or maybe you are just casting away what no longer suits you. That is a lifelong journey. I no longer wear the same style of hair or clothing as I did when I was younger. Things adapted to whatever I was experiencing in my life at that time, from childhood to teen to adult.

Courtney,

#1, I'm 68 and naturally running out of time regarding that sort of thing. But Viagra still doe's works for me.
#2, For me personally, taking testosterone at this point would be counterintuitive for me. My body for the most part is all women without having any surgery other than the orchiectomy. I don't want to change that by adding testosterone.

3 month-15 days until robotic vaginoplasty, time may feel slow in the moment, but it is actually moving rather quickly.

May I ask what the "robotic" part of that means? I'm not familiar with the term in this context.

I think it means that the doctor controls tiny machines guided by a camera.
It avoids the need for invasive surgery that lengthens healing time.

That is how the surgeon describes peritoneal pull through surgery in my medical chart. When I opened up my chart yesterday to see how many day's I had remaining that is how it read, it gives a daily count down. I've gone from being excited to a little nervous the last couple of days, I imagine my emotions are going to be all over the place. I hope I don't say or do anything stupid towards my family as a result. I keep thinking I'm to old, to ugly, placing too much on my spouse. on top of that, I still have all the normal daily things that life brings at you. Oh well

I can imagine it's stressful on top of day to day life. The trans journey is especially challenging on top of daily life and all the responsibilities that come with it. The general public often struggles with daily living yet we have that PLUS all the stress and strain of transition. And when transition includes major surgery it becomes hectic.

I think it's perfectly normal to feel some stress and anxiety

That's great news Darilee! It must be fantastic to have a date to work towards. This time next year you will be pretty much fully recovered and living the good life. I'm not at all jealous ha ha!

My nerves would be shot. I'm not sure I would be brave enough to ever do it (even if I had the freedom to do so).

If I had the money I would lie on the slab right now Jillian ha ha! Sadly life is not like that for me. By the time I will have saved up enough money it will probably by my turn on the NHS waiting list. I really must get myself registered on that list!

Thank you all it's good to have a place where I can say it out loud without fear and actually receive positive feedback in return.
So,  Thank you very much again

PS I had to wait until I retired before I could seriously look at having surgery and then realizing that I'll never be able to allocate the money to do it. So I just decided to go for it or else it will never happen and I'd die wishing I had done it.
