Garlic was triggering?

Yeah, it's sounds crazy. If you have to go out digging for onions, garlic to add to a rabbit for a stew as a regular meal I guess you would get over it.

He hated rabbit and I've never tried it.
But in Australia rabbits are now a pest because they were introduced and run rampant.

Myxomatosis was introduced to try and "fix" the rabbit problem but it didn't really work.

But rabbit was a pretty staple food for a long time.

Crazy, because there was already a lot of other sources of protein here already

It is not, it's a bloody horrible thing in all fairness. Humans can be very cruel sometimes. The Rabbits did not ask to be here.

The worst one I saw was in France, on the Somme, at the Lochnegar Crater.

The crater was incredible but seeing an animal suffering like that.....

I should have been a better person and put it out of it's misery

Finished my coursework assignment and thus my course is now complete pending results. I am done with learning vocational courses now. I think I'm getting too old, it takes too much out of my free time.

I am nearly done painting my bedroom, wardrobes are ordered and will arrive not this monday but next. Blinds a little after that. Need to think about carpet now.

Going to put a new drain run in to get the washing machine into the garage next then it's time to start on the kitchen installation. I started taking the polystyrene ceiling tiles off yesterday. there is a mint condition plastered ceiling under there. Why the hell would anyone make a choice to glue highly flammable polystyrene ceiling tiles up in a kitchen is beyond me but at least it's not more wood chip wallpaper!

Unsure whether I'll move in when the bedroom is complete or when the kitchen is. I think probably once the kitchen sink is fitted I'll make my move.

Nothing worse than living in a work zone. The dust and dirt are awful. Did that when I built my l'st home and vowed never again. Also once we moved in the work came to a crawl, some never got finished.

Yeah, it would have been nice to get the lot done before I move in but not being able to be me at my folks is driving me up the wall. Once the Kitchen is in the bulk of the nasty stuff is done bar the Bathroom.

Making good progress! When we remodeled my younger brother's house we put plastic door ways to rooms we wanted to protect its not ideal to have deal with that but it kept the dust out of those rooms.

Been to see the GP about the fluid build up in my legs. She's sending me back to the hospital for more ultrasound scans. Marvellous.

I was very upbeat about this appointment as it was the first time I was going to come clean to the GP's about my trans status. The GP was a young woman I have not seen before and she was the most unfriendly, dissmissive doctor I've ever met. She came across as judgemental. She clearly did not want to talk to me about my trans status and showed an almost distainful disinterest in what I was saying when I did. I asked her if she could refer me to the local NHS gender identity clinic and she looked blank and just said I would have to send an email in to the practice listing exactly what I wanted. I asked about shared care and she shot me down before i'd even finshed my sentance, I think she had been told to do that and was ready for it. She has at least said she might be willing to do the blood testing for me. I've left the place feeling extremely flat and now I'm thinking they want to check me for cancer!

On top of that I have got two quotes for replacing the leaking sun room roof and the cheapest is £9,060!

All in all not the best of days. I'm feeling a bit fragile tonight.

That's absolutely terrible service and sad you had to deal with that Sarah.  In all honesty some doctors should not be in the job! I don't know about your local gender service, but I self referred to mine. Doctors just signed it off and sent it. Worth looking into.

Just remember that GPs are people too, so they have their own baggage to deal with. I have had a few doctors who I am convinced became one just for the pay. The good ones seem to honestly care about their patients no matter what the discussion is about.

Hopefully, the scans will show everything is normal, and you just need to do more handstands throughout the day. 🤣

The roof quote is a real gut punch too. That was the last thing you needed. Is there a way to just cover it until you can save the funds to do the repairs? What about a repair loan? Is that even feasible?

Hang in there. Life is full of speed bumps. They are there to keep us from racing too quickly to the end!

Yeah, sounds like she's just going throught he motions. There is no way it is a growth or something like that as both legs wouldn't be affected simultaneously, it's just bad practice not to realise that. What a complete waste of time. She thinks it is Lymphodema not edema so it might well end up being complression socks but if thats the case why not give me them now to seee whether it clears up, why make me wait 2 weeks for a scan , a further week for the rport before I can get an appointment for the next round of tests. maddness. It is her attitudue to my trans status and what I was asking her for that really upset me though.

That cost is for a new roof. The existing one can't be repaired, it's a total bodge job, pitch is too low, flashing detail is terrible, timbers are warped etc. I thought it might have lasted a few years at least but I can't go into the winter with it leaking like that. I'll have to suck it up. I can raise the funds but yet more stuff is getting cancelled and stripped back.the miserable GP lady was just the icing on the cake!

Yeah, loan might be on the cards I think. I can't leave it like that going into the winter.

I'm more annoyed about the terrible bedside manner from the GP when I was in such a vulnerable position. The lack of empathy and disinterest was staggering. She came out to call me into her room scowled at me, sat down in her chair, stared at my tits for a couple of seconds and said, "so what do I call you?" while looking back at her computer screen. Really unprofessional. Maybe she didn't like that mine were bigger than hers lol! She seemed more interested in where I managed to buy the medication from, she never even asked what my dosages were, what I was taking though I told her anyway. She stared at me and said" so why are you taking them? what is the point? What are you wanting to achieve?
