Oh that's right you don't have to worry about an illness bankrupting you or deciding if the cost of treatment means having to work 10 more years.

No we don't have to worry about that but we do have a looooong waiting list to be seen. My current NHS trust list is 6.5 YEARS long! No option for us but to go private realistically however, we can sign up for shared care agreements which means (if the GP agrees) that the prescription costs are picked up by the NHS. I can then use that money for private diagnosis, referrals, endo appointments, orchie, hair transplants, vocal therapy and electrolysis ha ha! easy peasy 😬 I will also register for the gender treatment on NHS and start saving, average wait time for surgery is looking like 8 years or so but then it will be free, if I've managed to save up the funds before then I will go private but if not there is the certainty that i can get it for free.

Your pharmacy isn't open 24 hours?

I just remembered something from back in the day: When I was using another pharmacy, they had a note inside that had been typed up, and it said something about "Estrogen - Females only". I had to pay for it.  4 bucks. I didn't care. I asked about the stupid note, and they said that they were required to do it. I gave them a total death glare. I told them, quite firmly, to NEVER give me a note like that again. It stopped. I stayed with them until the K-Mart it was in closed down.
