Hey everyone! I was finally able to access my old account after YEARS. I had made a new account as I thought this one had been lost, but here it is! I am so happy to be in this space with you all.

My name is Ozrik, many folks just call me Ozzie or Oz- I say follow your heart and call me what resonates with you. When I made this account, I was just coming out as trans- and at the time I was a very binary trans man, mostly because I did not know anything else existed. These days though, I feel more like a gender meatloaf- a mysterious mix of all kinds of things- that somehow come together to make me. I consider myself a nonbinary trans person. Currently, I use they/them or he/him pronouns- but have been thinking about exploring other options because there truly are so many ways to be yourself- many of which I probably have not yet discovered.

It has been so delightful to look back at my old posts. Many pictures of myself and details of my transition have been lost over the years. There was a time when I really did not want to look at myself, and so a lot of pictures and things were deleted because of that. I am so pleased to see my old writings. Everything felt so overwhelming back then- it is so weird to read some of those things all these years later, and to know I made it through them.

Susan's Place honestly saved my life when I first came out. I felt really alone and was bullied at school. The support I received here was a lifeline, and I always find myself returning to this platform even after all this time. I am so glad this place is still thriving.

I enjoy being outside (hiking, walks, biking), reading, and listening to music. I also really love animals- my partner and I are the proud parents of two reptiles (bearded dragon and leachie gecko) and three beetles (2 blue death feigning beetles, and 1 diabolical ironclad beettle). I love meeting new folks, and I am so excited to be back.

Hey Ozzie, welcome back! I have two reptiles too... although they call themselves cats. 🤣

Here's a copy of our welcome pamphlet, a few things may have changed since your last visit. See you around the site!

If you like, we can combine the two accounts into one. Forum policy is only one account per member. Since both of your accounts are still active, we can move all the posts from one to the other, then delete the "empty" account.

You don't need to reply here. I will flag Danielle, our Administrator, so she is aware. She will email you to verify that you own the accounts. Then she can work her magic. You can also email her directly at AlaskanDanielle@yahoo.com.

I'll start the paperwork on this end, then you and Danielle can work out the details via email.

It's good to have you back!

Thank you for the welcome! Lol it is funny you say that because my reptiles tend to remind me of cats. They certainly seem to have overlap in terms of strong opinions and personalities- cats and reptiles are truly lovely.

Hi Ozzie,

I've already posted on one of your other posts but it feels rude not to post a welcome on here too so:-

Hi! I'm Sarah, 50 from Northern England. It's very nice to meet you.

I'm also an outdoorsy person. I love hiking , wildlife and landscape photography and road cycling. I am fighting my way back to fitness (or thinness!) so I can get back out in amongst the hills again as I miss it so much.

AMAB and married to AFAB.
I am gender fluid but live primarily in male mode. My wife knows about my gender identity struggles and we are navigating how to come out and be more public about me being trans.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.
