I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,

Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

Mentally yes; Physically no.

Of course this can be reversed

Yes. I am who I am and no matter what impression my body may give others. Transition is just the physical changes needed to reflect the inner person.

I don't think I choose my gender, but I am it.
  •

I chose "yes I am" but like others said It' really wasn't a choice per say. I was a choice in that I chose to transition. I could have chosen not to transition but the consequences would have been detrimental to my well being. I was bone mentally female but got tagged as a male... drat!

I voted 'yes, I am'. But as stated by previous posters, I don't believe one chooses a gender.
Nero was the Forum Admin here at Susan's Place for several years up to the time of his death.

I have twenty-one digits which I can use for calculation. One of which,
is pretty much useless excepting for that purpose.
What I'll do after SRS, I don't know.

I think they extra didget  allows up to 110 using basic (decimal) counting. I suppose that raise the question of why genetic males have the the rudiment to count and record to 110 and genetic females don't? Obviously to follow gridiron.

mmm

Wow, great poll.   I love it when transpeople flip out about being told that instead of being men/women they've decided to be women/men.  I love it even more when transpeople reinforce the bull>-bleeped-< notion that your gender is a choice.

Chose "I am" despite it not being a choice and that I am pre T. I don't think gender should be confused with biological sex. So in short... Yes, I am the gender I am and am happy with. No, my body does not reflect it.

:icon_headache: I love it when people flip out, without actually considering the question. Now, to quote Steven

Thirty-one hundred and fifty-nine more to go.

I'd love to, but there's no option for 'Gender is not a choice.'

The reason for a poll is to gather information for the pollster and possibly make people think.
The question wasn't, "Is gender a choice?" Of course, that is another option,
you can argue over the phrasing of the question rather then actually think about what it is asking.

For those who voted: "Not yet but I will as soon as I...".
At what point do you feel that you will be able to say, "I am the gender I choose to be."?

For those who voted: "Yes, I am!".
Does your gender now match the sex which you were born in?
