"Shawn the Christian explains: God creates disastrous people like the disfigured, homosexuals & hermaphrodites so they can overcome their abomination to serve God with an even brighter, more triumphant glory! It's a beautiful God we're talking about (forgiveness, grace, mercy, love) who creates you as a disaster then make you overcome it to keep from ending up in hell. Perfect sense."

wow! yikes.

A beautiful God? Creates you as a "disaster" and then threatens you with Hell if you don't "overcome" it to a degree that pleases him. Yeah, lovely guy.

With that reasoning basically overcoming bigots like him can also bring you closer to god heh ^_^.   Still you cant use faith as a crutch, it doesnt work since their are things in the bible that christians choose not to follow or are outdated, being one i know... I had a debate with my preacher once, he was stumped when i explained gods image as it states in the bible is body, soul, and spirit, all three make it up.  When you pass the one thing that stays behind is the body... so it is therefor not needed is just a container for soul and spirit.  So, being born intersex, or transsex or anything else is just fine to change your body, because after all.... what sex is my soul? what sex is my spirit?   Maybe living through this turmoil is my test of faith...

going through my transition brought me closer to god... not farther away...  a lot of others feel the same, the only thing that makes me shy away from it, is losers like that who read but dont understand whats written in the pages behind the words, and sometimes right in front of them.

Thats all i have to say.

Well in a way you have to be tested, it strife and chaos do you evolve and become stronger then you were.  If everyone was simply given everything they needed and not need to lift a finger for it, the species would die out unable to take of itself when the master disappeared.  This way is smarter because some people will be able to handle it some wont, in a way its natural selection on a divine level, the worthy move on to.... who knows what the plan is, maybe we are all just gods in training lol, the ones that get sent to hell are dropouts lol.

He had to ask what a "hermaphrodite" (intersex) was. After saying he hasn't "studied" it much and doesn't know much about it, yet he knows it's "really rare". How does he come to the conclusion that they shouldn't marry...notice how he completely disregards the question and goes on about gays and how people aren't really gay. She had to ask the question again and he just makes >-bleeped-< up lol.

Its the constant threats of hell that aggravate me. Overcoming struggle definitely makes you stronger but people shouldn't be worrying their whole lives that they haven't overcome these struggles in the right way according to God and therefore will be sent to hell.

Well it does say in the bible that those that are born that way should not marry and devote their lives to god, it also says:

Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, "Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!" So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the LORD. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.

As well as:

Be careful when making a roof to ensure that no one falls off the edge

apparently if someone falls off your roof, the contractor goes to hell.  Sheesh~

I thought the bible talked about Eunuchs not intersexed people. Eunuchs are just castrated men.

"Christians state that the Bible's use of the word "eunuch" refers strictly to men incapable of sexual intercourse or reproduction, through either birth defect or castration".

The word eunuch in the old testament is the Hebrew word [caric](pronounced saw-reece'), meaning to be castrated.

The people in the video aren't Christians. They're haters hiding behind religion as justification.

A the good ol' "No true Scotsman" fallacy.  ::)

No, these people are not Christians. What they are claiming has no basis in Christian teaching.

There are people who travel around college campuses making a living as "preachers" by inciting the kids to hit them and then suing them.

Okay enough Logical Fallacies.

Here is an example of how this fallacy can be used:

"Another good example is abortion, our government has such a small Christian influence that the courts have ruled it's ok to kill babies now. Typical. The people who support legalized abortion but claim to be Christians don't really follow Jesus — they have lost their way."

In an effort to argue that abortion is wrong, it is assumed that Christianity is inherently and automatifcally opposed to abortion (begging the question). In order to do this, it is further argued that no one who supports legalized abortion — for any reason — can really be a Christian (equivocation through an ad hoc redefinition of the term "Christian").

Similar arguments are made regarding a host of controversial political, social and economic questions: real Christians can't be for (or against) capital punishment, real Christians can't be for (or against) socialism, real Christians can't be for (or against) drug legalization, etc. We even see it with atheists: real atheists can't have irrational beliefs, real atheists cannot believe in anything supernatural, etc.

Atheists have heard it all. :)

The thing is, regarding the bible, you can slice it anyway you want. He interprets it to say one thing and you another. Who is to say who is right? Do you have a direct line to "god"?

If it walks like a duck, bites like a hyena, and calls itself a Christian, then it is:

A)  A duck
B)  A hyena
C)  A Christian
D)  A true Scotsman
E)  None of the above

I was waiting for a moment like this... This guy is living proof that there is no God, for which supreme being would create, and admit creating an idiot like this.

Possibly, but they appear to have their knowledge of the teachings of jesus from the likes of this guy.

Those to follow the teachings of Jesus, whether for spiritual or philosophical reasons know that no-one has the right to judge others.

I really don't see any connection with abortion, frankly.

No one should marry.

Marriage has become a symbol of hatred and intolerance.

Boycott marriage today!
