Speaking about his interactions with the other characters. There's one character I'm now curious as to how Evan would react to;
Henrich used to be a military captian for the bad guys, but left because of the horrible things he was ordered to do. After he left, he became an alcholic for a time and put on some weight. However, is was already a giant of a man to begin with. When the player meets him for the first time, he's 6'4" tall, almost 400lbs of muscle but still with a fat belly. He has a giant hand gun in one hand and something that looks like a steel door for a shield in the other. He's a big burly man with chest hair and beard, but he's still very kind though is overly outgoing. He'll taunt other guys to try and help them do better, and he treats women like they are precious gems. He's a modern day knight in shining armour that's chivelrous and laughs at his own jokes.
So what would be Evan's reaction to Henrich?
It depends on both Evan's and Henrich's personalities. Evan would probably be at least slightly jealous of every cis guy in the game since living stealth without hormones or surgery is difficult and the other guys don't have to deal with anything like that. Unless he desperately wants to be a huge guy, I don't think he'd be any more jealous of Henrich than anyone else. If his dad isn't a big guy, he might be completely OK with being a ninja type character, as his dad would have had to fight like that as well. If he's bitter about being trans or insecure about his masculinity, then he may let his jealousy go unchecked, try to prove that he's a tough guy, and end up being an ass. If he's not bitter for the most part (it'd probably get to him occasionally,) and he might try to stay positive, keep his jealousy in check, and not try to overcompensate for his female body.
My best friend happens to be fifteen years older than me, and he was special ops in the military, and actually sounds a lot like Henrich, so I can kinda relate. In some ways he's a father figure to me and in some ways he's a friend- I guess he's sorta like an older brother. Mostly, I just really respect and admire him, so I try to impress him when I have the opportunity, and I listen closely to his opinions on stuff related to being a guy. And I love listening to him talk about the military. Also, since I'm learning judo and he is a black belt, I try to get him to fight me for fun, particularly when we've been drinking. He doesn't usually agree to it since he's always afraid he'll seriously hurt me by accident. I think that's one of the few things I do that's partially motivated by jealousy/ insecurity about being trans. I know getting into real fights is stupid, and it's mostly just that it's fun to fight with him, but also I feel like I missed out as a teenager, and since I am small, it'd be awesome if I could beat him someday (not that I have a chance.) Also, he loves and respects women a lot, and he's great at talking to them, so he gets girls easily. That's probably the biggest source of jealousy that I have for him since even if I'm flirting with a guy, I know it's not going further unless I out myself, and then that's usually the end of the flirting.
And if Henrich started treating Evan differently after he found out that he used to be Eve that would definitely piss him off.
Another hint that's he's trans that you could drop is that he may avoid talking to strangers when he doesn't have to, or try to get someone else from the group to do the talking if only one person needs to talk. A lot of ftms can pass for a young boy, but then have their gender questioned as soon as they speak.
