Well my partner has been trying to transition since December last year, the process here in the UK is very long winded. We ended up having to change gender identity clinics midway through (due to bad treatment), and are now getting much better treatment. We attended a therapy session last month, and she told us that she would pencil us in for a date with the doctor at our next appt in November. Well we got a letter in the post to say that he has an appt to see the Doctor 28th Nov! This is awesome because he is the one that can perscribe the T, so there is a good chance he could be on T before Xmas, which would be simply BRILLIANT! They know we have had to wait ages to get this far and so they seem to be expediting his treatment which is really great!
I am nervous and excited at the same time, he will be on Nebido, first injection then 2nd 6 weeks later then every 12 weeks after that. Its supposed to be a drug that is closer to a true puberty.
He already has quite a deep voice, so its going to be interesting to hear how much deeper it goes, he's 5ft 10 and very broad, so has passed most of the time when he binds and packs, and he really wants to grow a beard...which I find hilarious, as him and my son (who is 18 and at Uni) have decided to see who can grow one the quickest lol.
I just wondered how some of you SO's with FTM partners dealt with the changes of their partner, particularily if you identified as lesbian before hand...
