It's more about build than height. You could be 5'6 but stocky but 6'1 and skinny and busty beats it every time. I don't know I'm 5'5.5 or so and have 13 inch shoulders, size7/8 women's shoes, and am a 32D but still fear clocking. Everyone calls me tiny, but I think I'm average. 5'10 is not bad at all. It's dress more than anything....dress.

I'm about the same size you are Joanna with the exception of the D cups. I'm 5-5, I wear a 32B and fill it nicely. Long legs, short torso and 13 & 1/2 inch shoulders. I'm about 5-8 in 4" heels and I too wear a size 7-8 inch woman's shoes. I get being thought of as tiny as I too am looked upon as Tiny by most everyone.

It's the complete package that shows femininity. hairstyle, outfit, shoes, manurisms, and confidence. Just overall presentation whether your 5-2 or 6-4.

I'm also 5'6. I guess I'm really lucky, because I'm shorter than lotsa people out there.

5'6 is probably pretty feminine. So I should be really thankful.
But I'd like to be shorter and more petite, though. I'd really really really like to be shorter.

I hope so so so much that there's a safe surgery someday to make us shorter. And I'd like to have smaller feet and shoulders, too.
Maybe technology will improve and we can do that someday. I sure hope so!
Look up in the sky, it makes you feel so high!

Funny, no MTF claiming to have shrunken in height miracously, including their feet shrunken a few sizes here in this thread.

How is this relevant to the thread or discussion? ???

I'm 6'4" and no way I'd consider anything like that. I want to live more than I want to be shorter.

I'm also 6'4 and it is keeping me away from transitioning:( How are you doing ashley_thomas?

There are several threads on Susan's in which MTF claim they've shrunken several inches in height/their feet have shrunken several sizes while on HRT.
According to them sometimes even in a few months to a year.

Don't let you height keep you from transitioning. I'm 6'7" and pass. Yes I get looks at being seen as a tall woman, but no one has ever clocked me for being tall. I know two cis-women that are tall. One is my height and another is 6'9".

MOVE!!! If that sounds too difficult or drastic, think about your alternative......JUST MOVE ANYWAY. If  you're in an area where the men are too short for your gigantic height, 5'-6", I'd move. The leg surgeries are only going to make you look deformed because your legs will look too short, and the spinal surgery isn't even an option, because I don't think it's even medically possible yet. But if for nothing else, that it's an incredibly sensitive area with virtually all of your nerves from your lower body going to your brain through your spinal cord. You can't be that desperate. There are definitely men, maybe not that many, but there are guys everywhere, including Central America, Southeast Asia, the Philippines and wherever else there are short men, that are taller than 5' 8" tall. MOVE!!!
These three years have been the best of my entire life
ones I've been able to live without lying
and the only time I've had since the age of twelve
I haven't constantly thought about dying

Lots of emotional work. Height like ours doesn't have to be an issue. People looked at me when I was presenting as a guy, they look at me now. Tall is tall. Looks are because I'm tall not because I'm trans.  People defer to taller people, they assume taller people are in charge and so I simply take it and own it. Like I did when I presented as a guy.  I don't get misgendered and I'm still in the middle of transition.  Height simply doesn't have to be an issue.

Now, I work really hard in everything else and accentuate everything I can that works to my advantage. I also don't wear heels much. Others say no big deal but I don't need them and I don't want more height, but that's just me.

If you have a cluster of passing traits follow those and walk tall and confident and you'll be fine.

Believe me, I was frozen scared for years over my height.  You can do it.

I second this^^___^^. 5-6 is really not that tall for a woman. So I must agree -MOVE!!

Best Wishes!
