Anyone heard of SCP?  It's a wiki and each page has details on anomalous entities with supernatural effects.  The page typically has details on special containment procedures, descriptions and experiment logs.  Some of these pages are just downright creepy and more unnerving and horrific than some of the best creepypastas I've read.

But what stand out are the joke pages.  Not all of them rely on in-jokes you'd only understand if you've read some of the highest rated pages.  One joke page which comes to mind is this:

I never laugh at the way people say things, but one of my professors said "The Gaps" (referring to the store, The Gap) and I broke out into this like...half smile bordering on a laugh and fortunately it didn't become one. I don't know why it was that funny, actually.

That's because "The Gaps" have clothes in them,

Today I had my latest T shot at the doctor's surgery... and whilst I was queueing up to sign in, there was an elderly couple at the receptionist's desk, booking their next medical appointment.

The wife had brought an actual calendar from home to write the appointment on. She must've taken it down off the wall to bring it with her to the doctor's surgery. It was one of those large display ones, with a different picture of puppies for each month.
