none of the above fits me as i had phalloplasty and i think for ME its the right choice i could have made!

Some facts for ME and my results:

I can orgasm from my new penis
erections are easy with my fitted pump
i have feeling in my penis and its NOTHING like rubbing my arm

had mine in the uk

I think again, this is important, to be reminded that everyone's preferences and needs are different.
I feel like the topic has gone to abit of a sensitive area with people making comments that are abit more general while making statements about what they feel. Some people don't like phallo, that's fine, but some of us have gone through all the pain, time and hassle of the long process and are very happy with it. On the other hand, some others just don't feel it is for them/is feasible (even if they may want it) so we cant claim that its crazy or anything that someone wouldn't have the surgeries.

Just like Thatsme, for me, it was by far, the right choice. I always felt it was the only choice for me and I am very, very pleased, and extremely grateful to have had phalloplasty (in the UK is where it was done). The sensation is fine, and I didn't have to choose between having it all done vs being able to orgasm. I chose to not have the "little guy" moved or tampered with. There are options there for specifics like that.
The aesthetics Im pleased with, Ive not had any complaints from partners, or weird looks.
No, it doesn't get erect naturally as there isn't a way to replicate erectile tissue, whether they will ever be able to fully recreate a biological penis, I don't know, I guess that has no bearing on me now, but science is always moving in some way.

P.s it is also possible to have sex without the erectile device.

If you don't have an erectile device such as a pump, you can apparently make a soft phallo rigid enough for sex by putting on condoms. I don't know how much sensation you might get with two or three condoms on your part, though.

There are erectile sleeves that are kind of like a stiff condom you can use if you opted out of the pump!

At this moment I don't really feel like I'd need phallo, or even meto. My down-below isn't really a source of dysphoria or anything to me and what I have thanks to T kinda works like a cockles anyway lulz.

And I'm not gonna have a surgery this big unless I'm at least 99,9999999999...% sure of it. From what I've read the complication rate is high as hell and if I ever planned to get one, I'd wait till it has developed further. Even so, I'd most likely get a meto instead. :P

When the docs can surgically create a penis that levitates on its own and ejaculates (even if not real sperm), then I'd say it works a lot like a real penis. The ones they're making now? Uh, no, not so much.

lulzy, then I guess guys with erectile dysfunctions do not have penises that "work like real penises". Bet they would love to hear that. I find it incredibly odd to call a penis real vrs fake. brb my penis is fake.....it doesnt exist. brb my penis is inside the puff the magic dragon and the tooth fairy and santaclause are having and orgy with it.

My opinion?

Phallo was the right choice for me. Do I care in the slightest who gets one and who doesn't? Not really, in fact, the less guys that have them done the less teeny boppers on youtube showing off their "phallo scars" and making mine more appearantly related to the transsexual commuity.

Everyone has a right to their own body. I support guys who use their "front hole" and guys who think its disgusting. Everyone has their own convictions that are just as important to them as mine are to me. So to argue that someone should or should not have it is silly.

The only argument should be when guys make assumptions about phallos or metasor any surgery for that matter?

Yes I can come from sex
Yes My dick looks good (though I migh have the color tattood)
Yes I can have sex with no erecile pump
Yes it was expensive
No I did not lose sensation
No my cawk is not "ugly ass" (probably quite "pretty ass" if I do say so myself)

You are the first person I've known of to be able to come with a phallo.  I've always wondered is it possible to do so with the phallo surgery.  Did your surgeon tell you that the possibility was there first or was it something you discovered on your own?

The only thing I think is that they could do better, I would like a phallo because I don't want a small dick especially being a black guy, The only thing with phallo is that Ive seen pictures and Ive seen more unrealistic ones than realistic ones, I mean when I first figured out I was trans here I was thinking I'd have a fully funtional dick, And If I told my friends that is was not the case they would look at me like Im crazy,  No offence the phallo is really not all that good, I would still feel like a fake, Who wants to loose sensation down their, Or not feel anything, Not get erect on its own why would I want a girl to squeeze my balls or werever the pumps located to get erect, I want to be able to get a boner and get turned on by myself by my gf/wife, I wanna be able to let my girl know that she's doing something to me, I mean what about the shading because everyones genitalia is somewhat darker than them that falls in the unrealistic catergory, No ejaculation can't even produce sperm, I want biological kids again they have a hella lot of work to do, These are things that are important to me, May not be to you but everyone is different, I want something hat looks acts and feels like a dick, And no I don't want the meta unless it can grow larger than what is said I have a problem with that no offence to people who have had the surgery, It's my oppion.   No offence to the transwomen but I think they spend way more time perfecting Mtfs surgery rather than trans men, Because they do not care

I agree with this. Once you start making comments like "it's just me but", well they don't always come off so well. For instance, "It's just me, but I personally think you are an idiot". See how well that doesn't work, not... "Hung Jury" is a book which talks with a bunch of guys who have had both metas and phallos and what they think. It is also completely ok not to want either. But for those who have some opinions like "it's just...." (described unflatteringly), you obviously are not educated about it.

Perhaps a better way to find out info is asking for info from people who have had phallos. Ask info from people who have had metas. And perhaps ask people who do not want lower surgery. I totally had my mind changed-- not what I want to do, at Philly Trans Health, but more how I talk about this subject.

One thing totally NOT true: They haven't spent more time perfecting MTF surgery because someone cares more or less-- a they have been doing them a lot longer and b. it is easier to put it sort of crudely to make an outie into an innie than the other way. It's just a harder problem surgically.

The other thing, my age feels like a much more determining factor. Of course people who have surgery at many ages but just that this is a lot of surgeries to recover from. But I know people's dysphoria sometimes "moves" for lack of a better explanation, after top  surgery.

Sorry, my bad. I generally put "real" into quotation marks or just use a more appropriate word, such as "typical" or "homegrown." And I did say "works a lot like" one as a qualifier because I'm well aware that not all homegrown penises behave as expected.

I expect that the vast majority of guys with homegrown penises likely had good function at some point in their lives, probably for decades, before they started experiencing difficulties. I never have and likely never will--especially given my age and how slowly the state of the art is advancing. Not to mention that most guys with erectile dysfunction appear to be pretty unhappy that their penises don't behave typically, and they feel a lot of shame an inadequacy about it, rather like we do. But many of those guys are able to get better function through medication, surgery, or psychotherapy. I don't expect that I ever will.

ETA: I should also point out that I was responding to someone else who was using that exact same language. Anyway, I fixed the post.

Was wondering if someone could answer a question I have about this...I know you can get tattooing done after phallo, and from photos I've seen it definitely looks better to me than not getting it. So I was curious if there's some downside to it I'm missing, or if people just don't bother?

I've yet to hear of a single person who isn't able to cum with phallo. The rumor that there is no sensation just simply isn't true.

The reason you see more unrealistic ones than realistic ones is because 1. a lot of posted surgery results are not the final product and 2. at least half of the ones you can find on a google search are from like 1990 or older because men who have had phallo don't want to show their results because of the way people talk about them.

Saying no offense doesn't change the fact that what you're saying is offensive. Just because phallo isn't what you want or need it to be doesn't mean its "not that good". It's a life saving surgery and it's good enough for the men that have it. Like I said in my last comment, you don't lose sensation. There have been guys who have even spoke of GAINING sensation. The coloring on phalloplasty varies by the person. In men of color in every result i've seen the penis was the right color. Mine looks like the proper tone for my genitals. For shading, there's medical tattooing.

I know there can be some good sensation in the phalloplasty, but in the last couple of years of researching guys who had a phalloplasty done, none of them never spoke of ejaculating.  Orgasm yes, but nothing about come.

Ahh i think there was some miscommunication there. I use the words cum and orgasm interchangably. I have heard of one guy ejaculating post phallo and several post meta.

Because you can't ejaculate even with a Phallo. I think you're getting confused by what "cum" means. When people say "Cum" they usually mean an orgasm not always actual ejaculating.

There seems to be a lot of misinformation and hear-say going on in this thread about bottom surgery. The thing is, most pics online are like 2 or 3 weeks after the surgery and you know what? Top surgery usually looks crappy 2 or 3 weeks after surgery too and trans guys get that in droves without all the backlash. People need to give it a rest. If you don't know about it, DO RESEARCH and look at credible sources like people that have ACTUALLY had the surgery. No more hear-say internet BS from people that have never had it.

No matter the bottom surgery, it will never be a fully functioning cis male penis. Thats the sad, cold, reality. No trans man can get a woman pregnant just like trans women can't get pregnant. It's not easier in the surgery dept for MTF. They also can't do some things that cis women can do naturally. I'm not being mean or anything. It's the truth. I think when we transition, we need to be realistic about what our options are and what we can do to make ourselves happier. The truth is, transition isn't a fix all. It doesn't make all of our problems go away and in many cases for trans dudes, even post transition, have dysphoria. It's a reality. For anyone who is deciding to transition or wants to, be realistic about what you want and what you can have.
