38B+ is also not exactly stunning, I was 38~A before BA.

Nope, nothing, no comments. I was at my first post-op Pilates session last evening and all is business as usual.

It looks even better in three months as swelling continues to decrease.

Yes, I shall look forward to all feeling less puffy and tight - that would include BA. The only comments I actually had, came from my lovely beautician ladies. They are ever so nice. I hope not only due to their jobs...

At e.g. P'nP (a favourite ) they are used to my presence and I had no comments, some looks as usual. I'm pretty used to by now.

NO WAY!!! I had to fix the leaf-collector, up to my ellbows in the ice-cold water so I know it IS close to freezing. We had snow! just the other day!

No, still struggling with weak nails, silky (thin) hair, and loosing... thinking to go back yet again taking Biotin. More girl issues... will they ever end?

Your facelift has been a success so is the chin work. You look younger and more feminine. I can't see all of the details because of the distance the photo has been taken from. The results are great.

I loaded yet another pic; they were all taken at the same time just with slightly changed (natural) lighting in my study and my 6500 NOKIA cell.

If seen in full resolution you would know why this one also is not exactly a favourite. Wrinkles and looking old can be enhanced by more critical lighting as we all know, I guess.

Let me explain something to you
the facelift only removes the excessive skin and muscle tissue. It doesn't restore the lost volume. The wrinkles are result of lost volume, and dermal fillers or fat grafting would be an ideal option for that. It is not expensive and delivers great results. I have dermal fillers allover my face and i love it.
Your facelift is a real success.

Yes, you must wait 3- 6 months. You will see when the swelling is totally gone and do the consultation. I personally dislike botox, it is just cosmetics. 3 months of effect and that is it. And it gives terribly artificial looks. Dermal fillers in the right hands deliver fantastic results. You can also get your eyelids done with dermal fillers, and perhaps your forehead. They are a fantastic in-office painless procedure.

Botox is a neurotoxin that paralyses the nerves and smooths out the wrinkles. It is usually used for the forehead and around the eyes. The problem with it is that you are paralyzed in the area where it has been injected and it doesn't look natural at all. Look for somebody who specializes in liquid facelift. It doesn't have to be a cosmetic surgeon, it can be dermatologist, GP or even a dentist. It is a very simple procedure and those results are real. It looks great.
Non- injectables can not restore the volume. I think you need injectable one

I have committed to doing GCS with Dr. Kunaporn in late January and will perhaps have some limited FFS with Dr. Rushapol depending on my physical condition post-GCS.  Do you have any recommendations re accommodations in Phuket?  Did you travel there through Bangkok or did you fly directly.  In short, I'd be grateful to learn from the expert who has been there twice !

Hi Robyn,
Firstly... just my experience... only have GCS/SRS... unless there are some serious issues that would rule that out.
It is quite enough for our system to go through that on its own. That is a recommendation.

Secondly... accommodation is a money issue and also a convenience/lux issue.
I had decided both times to stay right next door at the Baan Suan for Thai Baht 700 (down stairs, no micro, no kitchen sink...) 2nd time upstairs for Baht 800 with micro and sink.
You will not like much "humping" upstairs with a sore fanny, believe me!
BTW, next block from this place is a BIG-C supermarket, plus plenty hawker stands along the road, as well as one small restaurant even offering "room service". Their food comes recommended – just don't ask for hot, as it will be Thai HOT

Thirdly... you'll be in PHI for two weeks and one more week required for post-op after care i.e. stay in a hotel.
Do NOT forget!!! to ask to get a letter for a wheel chair transport at the airport. I flew with Thai Air Interl. and was well taken care of --- I would have been in far worse shape without the wheel chair. So don't try to be a super-woman.

I had to fly via Bangkok from Jhb, as hardly any long range interl. flights go direct to Phuket.
KL and Hong Kong have direct flights for all I recall.

Lastly... PHI will provide you with driver transport from and to the airport and AS WELL from and to hotel, if you decide to stay in some more up-market place, closer to a beach.
(I didn't miss it, but that's just me).
PHI has a number of OK deals with some of the better hotels and you can check that out on PIH's web-site.
The Baan Suan is so reasonably priced that they do not allow for any PIH discounts at their rates. It is clean, friendly, and quite OK to stay there for the 3rd week of your sojourn. (My take...)

Please, if you go there say a nice "hello!" from we to Dr Sanguan.

Hi Axelle,

Thank you for the suggestions and advice.  I should have thought to look more closely at the hospital's site regarding hotels.  As you say, a number of them are listed.  I'm uncertain about location relative to the hospital, but a little time with Google maps should resolve that.

I'll be in Phuket for a minimum of five weeks, 5-6 if my recovery requires it.  That's why I am able to consider some small level of FFS if my condition warrants.  I've received such conflicting reactions from different people regarding doing GCS and FFS in any proximity to each other that I will have to decide for myself based on my own assessment of myself at the time.  Given that I work for the Foreign Service and am subject to the exigencies of their posting and transfer cycle, the unfortunate news is that this is the only window I will have for any type of surgery for the next several years. 

I'm scheduled for GCS on January 23, and my friend Nadine follows two days later.  I've already made a 20% deposit even though Dr. Sanguan does not require one, so you could say that we are now "locked in."  I'll be sure to pass on your greetings.
