Happy:  My sister is bringing some leftover Little Caesar's Pizza

Unhappy:  I really don't need it, but aside from that, she will be brining it when live fighting on t.v. will be over.

Happy AND unhappy: After work, I stopped at home on the way to the night class I teach. I was sitting silently on the couch with my wife, when she turned to me, gave me the sweetest smile and said, "you are so cute!"

I appreciated the compliment for what it was, but it still tugged at my heart a little. She, of course, meant that I'm a cute guy, so yeah. My only response was a small smile that was more a smirk than anything.

I'm painting my nails.  :)

But I started while wearing my cutest white blouse.  :(

I managed to get the blouse off without marking it with the nail polish.  :)

My friends are going out to a party tonight.
Normally I wouldn't ask if I could tag along, but I did.
I was advised not to go, because they're going to a frat which is known for having guys who aren't really that tolerant while under the influence, so for my own safety (and so I wouldn't be arrested if a fight broke out and I lost, which with my track record, would happen) I shouldn't go, and I reluctantly agreed.

My other friends aren't that fun to be around, or haven't talked to me in a while, so I'm doubting if they were ever my friends.
I have to ask that to myself about all of my "friends," whether they really enjoy me being around or not. Of course asking them directly will always result in a yes, which isn't reassuring because it could be truthful or not.

I saw an overturned vehicle on my rainy and foggy drive into work today which was very sad. (Luckily it didn't look like there were serious injuries but I can't be sure) the paramedics were about 2 minutes away when I passed.

But there was a good Samaritan standing in the rain guiding one lane traffic and alternating directions. Also the cars around me were very good about using hazard lights and flashing oncoming traffic to warn then to slow down.
My faith in humanity was restored for they day :)

Ouch. :-\ I've had a similar thing happen to me before. It is not a good feeling. The sort of "D'OH!" feeling which evokes mental images of Homer Simpson slapping himself on the forehead with a huge, wet halibut.

*hugs*

I'm glad things are clicking for you though, hon. It's always really cool when you get those eureka moments. :)

Yeah, the idea for it clicked after finishing my last digital piece, but tonight got to test out the idea and took a bit of tweaking to get it to come together.

Ah, well, I'm choosing to look as this just means I get to practice more with it and work out the kinks.

God, that suck. When I used to write, I lost entire stories in that manner a couple of times. It was always so deflating. I hope you recreate the image to your satisfaction.

Did you paint your avatar? I like it.

I'm happy for Coleen for her moderator appointment! But unhappy that I'm not there yet. I guess I have to work harder from now on and stop being so focused on myself.

Sorry for being envious Coleen...  :-\

I think I've got my computer back to working order again. Now to reinstall all my programs and etc. etc.
I still think I'm going to sell it for something cheaper.

Prescription was sent to the local Meijer's pharmacy.
Due to staying up all night trying to fix my computer, and because of back issues, I only woke up about 30 minutes ago (rudely, by a fire drill,) and the pharmacy just closed. I wouldn't have had enough time to get ready and get there in time anyways. So I'll pick it up first thing tomorrow morning, since it opens at 8.

I love how your sister is like "I'm going to help you work out and lose weight" and then she brings you pizza. Haha.

My cell phone charger isn't working.  There are no frays in it so I can't detect what the problem is.  It isn't the plug.  UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH! Now I'm going to have to buy a new charger.  My phone is almost dead and I may have potential employers calling me in the next few days....and it's cold outside.

Happy- I got my phone charger to work

Unhappy-  I'm not too sure how long it will last.

I did.

I wish I could claim I did. Alas, my talents are not so developed as an artist. I'm not bad at drawing, but I'd never try to sell myself as an artist; with friends who work for Pixar and the Simpsons, I have too much respect for actual artists to lump myself in with them.  I'm more a doodler than anything else. I'd really like to teach myself digital paint.  When I was in college, I wrote a comic strip for the school newspaper, and it might be fun to return to that.

My creative talents lay primarily in making things- I'm a cosplayer, and I relish the chance to find a way to recreate a costume that has only existed up to that point in two dimensions. And then to get to wear it to a convention and show it off- fun. I recently cosplayed Wreck-it Ralph (I'm super-thin, so I pulled it off with a padded muscle shirt. Anyway, there was a cute little girl who thought I was the actual character- it was so cute. I love that kind of thing.

So, my avatar is an image I borrowed from deviantart. The character is Death from Neil Gaiman's Sandman series. She holds a special place in my heart, and my first major tattoo was a beautiful half-sleeve of her.

Anyway, I like your art. Consider me a fan. :-)
