If it ends up in his nose, then he would have gotten more use out of it than me.  ;)

I never had a Brittish coin so I wouldn't know about them.  I know here in the U.S. I don't think we have any currency with a female on it, so to see one is pretty cool.  :)

I'm from the USA as well, Mal- Southern California, to be precise.

And we DO have a couple obscure coins with females on them. There's the golden dollar Sacagawea coin (you know- Louis and Clark's Native-American guide), and also the Susan B. Anthony (famous suffragist) dollar coin (which looks far too much like a quarter).

Ask for them at your local bank- they'll be glad to be rid of them. :)

Happy coin-collecting!

I always thought the SBA coin was a Canadian Quarter.

I don't quite have a bank account yet though, but thanks, lol.

Oops, lol.

I think I had that quarter before, but it dropped and rolled under my mom's counter and I was never able to retreieve it again.  :(

Happy: ISA allowance renewed this weekend, meaning I can start saving properly again instead of just relying on my willpower.

Unhappy: As I'm no longer a new customer I have an awful 0.5% interest rate, so I really should switch. I don't want to go through the hassle knowing that in a few months I might end up doing it again if they're not helpful when I change my name.

D came back to school and we hung out. He's going to be coming to school more often in the next couple weeks. I'm right back to square one.

No, I blame me. It's my weakness.

Don't beat up on yourself, you're still human in spite of what you may think!  :)

I got carded yet again whilst attempting to buy alcohol. The problem is, I don't have any current ID in the correct gender because I've only just received the relevant paperwork from my GIC, despite chasing them for it for about a year.

On the one hand, it's nice that I'm being challenged on whether I'm over 25 when I'm actually in my mid-40s. But on the other hand, it really brings home to me that if I want to go on any dates, I need to get some ID sorted... because if I get carded when I try to buy wine at the supermarket, you can bet that a bouncer will give me a hard time if I try to get into a nightclub.

The best bit? Last week my daughter rather nastily told me that I look older than her Dad, who is slightly older than I am. But he hasn't been carded for about 20 years now... and I get carded all the time!  ;D

:eusa_clap: In my view it appears that most Trans Men always look much younger as males than they did as females probably due to the fact that most born males show their age more readily due to years of testosterone and of course they seldom take very good care of their faces like those born females normally do. So it seems like a real plus that you are perceived to be a male of marginally legal drinking age. Go with the flow and smell the roses!

I'm definitely going to make hay whilst the sun shines, Auntie Shan. I ain't getting any younger! ;D

My worry is: I'm betting that I'm going to keep looking young for a year or two, and then I'm going to wake up one morning to find that Old Father Time has slapped me about during the night. It's going to look like an episode of Face Off.

you rock my world just because you said ungulate. I love that word. And I love that my fellow biologists came up with the term ungulate thrust.

Thought some guys were playing football across from my building, but it was actually frisbee. Unhappy because I really want to play football today, happy because guys never want girls playing with them at this age. It's no longer a boys vs girls thing, it's guys play their game, girls play theirs. Which is unfortunate because I never see any girls playing football around here, just frisbee and occasionally basketball. Also happy because I've walked probably a good 8-10km today, and I've got a little pain in my left hip, so I can just relax instead of straining it more by playing football. But it's so beautiful out :(
