All good today.
A student that I've been meeting with at lunch so that she can talk through her emotional problems surprised me with a gift today. It was a birthday gift. Nearly two months early. A handmade Alice (in Wonderland) and White rabbit. They're felt dolls and super-cute. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite stories and I have an entire concept mapped out for a tattoo sleeve on my left arm based on the story; as soon as my preferred artist gets into town, we're getting going on that. Anyway, that was a super special moment with a student. It's nice to feel appreciated.
Also, I'm almost done writing my intro to this site. It's been consuming my days (if I owe you a response, give me a little more time please). I've been here awhile now, but I haven't posted a proper intro, and I really want to open myself up. What I've written so far is extrememly long, and might be too overwhelming for a casual reader, but it has been extremely helpful to me to write it. It might also prove helpful in therapy. I've broken it up into chapters, and it expresses my life and journey very honestly and well. I'm looking forward to sharing it.
Also, I got a manicure today.
Also, at the mall today there was a men's button-up shirt that was in a color I sort of liked. I normally purchase shirts in a Large. The shirt at the front of the rack looked about right though; it was a Medium. When I tried it on, it looked a bit boxy. When I tried on the Small, it fit perfectly. I also have a lightweight hoody I picked up at a thrift store that's marked Small, but fits perfectly. I always figured that it was mislabeled, but now I guess not. Apparently, according to some standards of measurement, due to my thin frame I'm a Men's Small. I didn't buy the shirt, but it was a nice feeling nonetheless.
I'm going to go back to writing that intro now.
Cheers,
Tegan
