Padma

Some young bloke handing out leaflets outside a phone shop just said to me "Good morning, madam!" :) - that'll do...

Third episode of "My Transsexual Summer."  Nice to see people having a win. :)

Another guy that knew me from before transition is starting to use terms of endearment with me at the store. They are forgetting the past me and/or accepting me more to be able to do that.

Definitely a really good sign of that Jaime, I think you're right! :)

Had a medicare appointment and during the interview the issue of dependants came up. My daughter use to live with me before my suicide attempt. Now she lives with her other mother. After the interviewer heard this her question for me was... "Did you birth her or, well I mean who is the biological mother". I almost died, was very much not prepared for that question and I have been so happy since.

Oh YES!  :)

Awhile ago, I came out to a friend of mine and he reacted sarcastically. Yesterday was his birthday, so I sent him a happy birthday message. He responded with "Thanks, dude" (he had previously called me "dudette" which is a dumb word either way) and then apologized for how rude he had been.

Excellent, lot's of victories on this thread today!  :)

Put on make-up again without smudging it all over the place!  Yay!

Awhile ago, when I was buying material for my halloween costume, I realized it wasn't expensive as I previously thought (with a member card, but what's forty five bucks every three years? Seriously). I've been really enjoying working on costume. Well, today I bought a sewing machine. I am going to start making my own clothes again.

That's so wonderful to be able to do. Twyla makes her own clothes, wish I was so talented!

I would like to lead this with saying that I am not out at work yet. So, there is only about 7 people in the office today. Two women, four guys, and me. The guys were talking and throwing a football around. While the women and I were just watching and laughing at them. One of the guys said "there is no one here today". Another one responded with "yep, we are the only four guys here today" (it is a very male dominated place, and they don't really acknowledge female employees). So, I don't know what they consider me, but at least they don't consider me a guy.  ;D

I'm down to 190.2 lbs! :D  I've lost 15 lbs since March!  Though I lost 5 of it this week.  Who knew that actively exercising, cutting back on what I eat, and severely limiting my soda would help out so much? XD

I took my son to the dentist this morning, and as I was filling out paperwork the receptionist told me I have really pretty hands. That was really nice to hear since I think I have man hands. Turns out, it is all in my head.

Went to my sister's 19th birthday party. My family got separated due to domestic issues, so I don't see her too often anymore. We went to one of those Japanese places where they cook in front of you and I had ice cream for the first time ever. It wasn't all it's cracked up to be, though.  ::)

I soooooo wish there was a Japanese restaurant where I live... Tasty stuff and yeah, the places that have the chef cooking in front of you can be really entertaining  :)

I went to a few really good places in younger days, the only thing that made me nervous was that they where so quick I was worried to find a finger in the mix  >:-)

I come from the poorer parts of Ecuador. I didn't even know what ice cream was.
