Hi Madeline,

I was happy to finish two new poems that I started months ago. Writing drought has ended. And just in time-- I am going to need an outlet to my emotions more than ever.

When and where do you publish your works? They would be indeed worth the read.

Hi Catherine,
Right here on Susan's Place for now. I started posting my creative writing in my blog area, but Susan asked me to fill up the Susan's Place Transgender Resources » General Discussions » Hobbies » Writing forum instead. :) So if you go there you will find all 43 creative writing posts of mine. They are numbered in order of my being able to share them, so earliest is 001 and newest is 043. All were written after I started living as Madeline full time.

You'll also find there some great writing by other folks at Susan's.

A few of my favorites from my own work:
poem 027: sometimes sadness comes
poem 018: prayer for the god/dess of wisdom
poem 013: graduation day
poem 030: The Wild Places (in every human heart)

Ok we need the details Hon

He took me to a drag show last night. It was so much fun. To make the evening better, he finally kissed me! He said he wanted to last time we went out, but he got nervous (so cute!). After the show we just sat and talked for about an hour or so. It was a really fun night. He already asked me out again, but I can't go next weekend so he is going to have to wait.

You lucky girl. Hope everything goes as smooth as silk for you both.

I have to ask. Does he have any eligible brothers at home ??

I think a part of the reason I'm not passing is because I don't choose haircuts that flatter my face shape. So I've spent the past few days trying to figure out what my face shape is, thinking "round" or maybe "oval." So I ask my brother today and he says "Square. Definitely." So I say "No, square faced men don't look like this, they're rugged and handsome." So I google "square faced men" and a lot of good looking men came up. But more importantly, men who also had features that were kind of like mine - not a prominent brow, dark hair/eyes...it made me feel good, and excited for T to masculinize my face more. I don't care if I spend the rest of my life ugly, but it's nice to feel attractive too.

I like reading how people's lives are going. Also I realized today that my teeth don't hurt except for a little bit of ache and inflammation where there was drilling. The infections are gone and cleaned out. I didn't realize how bad it was until it stopped. Yay for dentistry.

Dental work is no fun, I have to get some done soon  :P

Hope you get feeling better

Heh, it's pretty cool to have this - it's the last legal change I could make pre-surgery. And I'm planning to go to Ireland in the new year, so I get to test the progressiveness of the border dudes :).

My mom came in while I was in bed, and said a few things. What she said was a mixed bag of sorts, as in some of it wasn't that good - ("Even though I will call you birthname, it doesn't mean I don't know that what you are going through is hard for you."). But she did say something that makes me a bit hopeful. She said "I think you are dealing with this the best way you can." I said "I try." She said "No, you are. Your dad and I have had multiple conversations now about how much nicer you are to be around and how we have had some very nice talks with you lately."

She said last night that she believes my transition was a choice. And she probably always will, because 5 years later she still believes I "chose" to act on liking girls too. I guess how I see it is if she is going to believe it was a choice, she better believe it was the right choice and the best choice.

Hormones are actually the best thing I've ever done for myself. although I have a very long way to go, and often hate myself when I see that I still look female, my chest, etc...I am 100x happier with the right hormone in me and that is definitely a beginning.

Lots of things today. Coming out to friends who are supportive in more ways than I could have imagined. (And "knew" something was up but never imagined this!) Dinner with a great group of people. Being myself, as I truly am, and accepted. Just a "wow" day, and couldn't be happier.

Congratulations KayCeeDee.  Supportive friends are great.

Talking to my Psychologist about changes that have happened over the last six months, and seeing how far I have come in learning to trust others up close, and my own judgement.

LOL. Absolutely! Andrea, that is a beautiful name and a beautiful ID picture. Where I live, a flattering ID picture is considered a small miracle. You look stunning - and you have very happy eyes.
