That's so great to hear! I just bought someone a compression tee as their first binder for xmas. Reading what you wrote makes me feel even more like it's worthwhile. Seeing people happy makes me happy.

I hope your friend will be happy with the gift, too :) I didn't know I needed that before I tried, didn't know what to expect, but it's just great. The frustrating part is that my old binding methods aren't as good anymore ::)

I wrapped all my wife's Yulemas gifts and stuffed her stocking. (Stop thinking dirty thoughts!) Also, my therapist told me today that she will be composing a letter for hormones for me. I'm the first trans* person she's dealt with and wants to look over the SoC7 to make sure she includes everything that's required. One step closer!

Ask Cindy, it's her imagination gone wilder.

Anyway had a good day, went to the shops and bought some nice things at Myer, it does get easier.

Oh the world is still here last time I checked.

My wife informed me that I'm starting to develop breasts already.  I had though t I was imagining it as I've only been on hormones for a month but nope, there really has been a change.

When was that law passed?

I thought there was open season on Tasmanian's?

Good to see you Sis.

I got my car fixed yesterday (and got to ride in a Mercedes!), and I just took my second shot of T a little less than an hour ago.  ;D

I finally bought some actual headphones, as opposed to ear buds, because I was sick of losing the ear buds.

I passed twice with the headphones around my neck. Funny how such small things can make a difference.

My beard makes loud scritching noises against the collar of my down vest.

I was looking down at something and my chin touched the top of my chest and it was smooth soft skin against smooth soft skin. I moved my chin bank and forth feeling how smooth it was and got all giggly. I probably looked insane because I was driving at the time.

My boss, who's very dad-like to me, suggested that if I didn't already have Christmas plans, I could go over to his house and hang with his family. "Bring your laundry. You can eat, play with the dogs, drink beer, and watch football."

My real dad disapproves when I do any of the four things mentioned above (but I'll be home for Christmas anyway).

-----
Some backstory on my boss (if anyone cares to read it): I told him a month before starting T about my plans to transition. I had started at the company under my old name and after a couple of months, I told my department that I actually was in the process of changing me name and would much prefer Deven. They adjusted to it really quickly, but it stayed within the department even though I was asked if I wanted it to be public. I declined because I thought announcing it to the entire company (a conservative one too) would confuse some of the executives and other personnel. After another few months, my boss asked what I wanted since my emails were still under the old name. He messaged IT and they changed the name on everything so the entire place calls me Deven now. It's kind of crazy how awesome it feels. I forgot what we were talking about that prompted me to tell him, but I had been thinking that I was just going to quit when the physical changes started to take effect.  I started with, "I told you how much I hated my name so I changed it and you've been really cool about it. Fact is, that's not all. I hate this body too so I'm changing it as well. I'm going to be starting HRT soon. The changes aren't immediate, but I'll give you enough time."  He started to laugh and asked, "So what? You're going to start wearing a tie to work? You already do that. And the people in [our department name] are so chill they aren't going to care. The other people here might not even realize you're the same person. Relax and congratulations."  Now, he jokes with me all the time about how my voice hasn't changed (it's only been a month, but then again, A WHOLE MONTH!) and what kind of facial hair I'll sport when that time comes. Ridiculously good guy!
"Sometimes you have to get knocked down lower than you have ever been to stand up taller than you ever were before.  Sometimes your eyes need to be washed by your tears so you can see the possibilities in front of you with a clearer vision again. Don't settle."

Great story, Deven. You have no idea how encouraging these are to people like me who still have their transition ahead of them.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?
