.... my voice got me clocked the other night (trying to yell over a punk band in a bar....
Sorry to hear you got clocked  :(  but trust me, it was 100% a voice issue, and having listened to your voice in the voice thread, only because you were yelling over the music.
Your face is beautiful sweetie!  No Joke, I always enjoy seeing pictures of you because I think we have similar bone structure so you make me very hopeful for what hormones will do for me  :D

that does make me wonder though, how many of us practice our voice "under duress" so to speak.  I think I'll go practice yelling a la femme now!

My voice sounds 100% cis because I started off by the hard part: Yelling. Key words: Loud and crisp. Now I can yell at someone from afar or yell while arguing and still sound female. Most trans women I've seen try to soften their voices and speak very low to compensate or just raise the pitch without proper placement but it's such a bad habit! Once you can yell, Once you can sing, speaking is nothing.

Just hold different vowels/phonemes at regular speech volume then increase volume exponentially without raising pitch.

decrescendo/crescendo glissandos on your full tessitura( total range of voice even male) and hold the last note.

Stuff like that.

I can usually maintain a decent volume, but not for very long. I'm hoping its just something that comes with practice, I haven't been training my voice for all that long. Thanks for the tips Seyranna :)

Well I'd like to add a few pics to this thread but I guess I need to post more. :(

How many posts do I need to have before I can post pics?

A member can post pictures in text from the first post.  It takes 15 posts before you can adjust your profile or use personal messaging.  It is meant as a protection against spammers and bots.

The pictures posted here have been ... fabulous (like the other topic!)

See now that is wonderfull advice. Ive been doing that bad habit and getting nowhere. but most instructional videos and such dont recommend volume and I dont see how they ever got to where they were. a different path for each person i suppose. lol

as for my pic, I know its not the best but ive never been good with pictures. ive gone out a few times and though i know people stared, i dont know if its because they can tell or if its just that im so tall. (6,2) im pretty good with makeup and though i need to do my eyebrows they dont look to bad. the hardest part is shoes. im a 13W in mens, I cant even find a size in womens, at least not in the stores, and i dont want to order online until I find out my size so that i dont waste time and money.

I'm mortified to post this, I need honesty and a guiding hand.. Anyone?  4 months HRT up to this point.. I feel like I'm not making any progress other than slight development in the chest...

Anyone? No one?  **sniff**  :(
I havent gotten a response either chika. I think that you look good. Your chin is abit broad (Im one to talk. lol) but ive heard that with proper makeup technique that can be compensated for. Im still trying to figure out how to do it myself.

I have a pic that id like to share, hopefully i set it up right because I dont know how to do pics on this site.

I would say for now try adding a padded bra. (until your development is more complete) this will help make your features more believeable and take attention away from your shoulders. (having broad shoulders like we do sucks but we can try to work around it.) love the shirt by the way! when taking a pose, try to shift your hips and shoulders so that they almost form a triangle. the slope of your shoulders and the slope of your hips should be opposite so that they point towards each other. this will help give you a more feminine appearance. Anyone else have suggestions? Im still learning as well.

I think you will be ok :).

And remember it takes time.. But I understand why you feel that you arent making any progress, I feel much the same way :S, but try to take one picture each month and then compare, you will notice a difference.

Given enough time on HRT, some weight loss and a nice haircut, you'll pass. You have potential but you aren't quite there yet.

Of course you can.

Miss Daisybelle I personally believe that the second look works better for you but thats just my opinion. I love the shirts by the way. The first looks more like something you would weaqr out at night whereas the blue looks better for going out in the day.
