Yeah even a brow ridge isn't always a pass-breaker. Not that I don't want to get mine corrected for myself, but it doesn't keep me from passing at all :)

Sometimes a prominent brow can balance a face somehow... I think it has a lot to do with the shape and proportion of the nose as well as how deeply inset the eyes are on the side of the nose.

Personally, Magnolia, I think it is hard to tell whether your brow will even be an issue w/ appropriate hair & eye makeup. Your whole face is pretty smoothly contoured. Your brow doesn't even look like it will for sure be a problem. I dunno exactly what it is, but I think you might make a really pretty female- possibly without any ffs. Losing a bit of weight like you mentioned + hrt might be all you need imo.

Sorry didn't mean to skip you LWhite and FrozenValkyrie :D

LWhite- I think your nose looks super feminine. It is hard to tell though with your lower face so obstructed as Jamie noted. But from the looks of it, I think you'll pass just fine.

FrozenValkyrie- I think with a little eye makeup you'd already be tipping the scales in favor of passing as female.

It looks like you have a rather sharp inset to your eyes from the bridge of your nose and the slight bit of blue discoloration naturally present in most people's skin there (the part right on either side of your nose next to your eyes) accentuates it a little bit. The same discoloration happens to me. This is easy to fix with a little corrector that is pinkish peach in color. Lots of cis women do this too. Looks like you could use the same shade of corrector to cover your beard shadow too, it looks like it's minimal (I really can't see it at all anyway). Then just get a really lightweight clear powder to set, and done.

That and a little eyeliner and I think you might be passable. Your facial features are already pretty feminine :D

Also, duh, almost forgot to add: get those eyebrows arching, too!

Good luck!

I agree, lots of people dislike their noses. My concern is, does my face make me clockable?

I had broken my nose when I was younger, so it is bent. It also causes sinus problems. I think, even if I wasn't going to transition I would still have to have Rhinoplasty. So my nose doesn't concern me for one day passing. My concern is more with hands, feet, and overall height. 6'4" standing straight and 6'2" with back arched

Hi ! I finally received my wig and i did a quick test with no makeup, bad shaving and a bit of color ajustement in photofiltre.
So what do you think of these pics?

First impression is androgynous, leaning male.  But it is fuzzy and indistinct to me.

I can very easily see your face being feminized cosmetically, without surgery.  Thing like thinning and arching brows. Some make up.  Facial hair removal.  You seem happy in your pictures - which is always attractive.

Thank you Jennygirl and Jamie D you words give me hope. I  thought it was impossible for me to be at least androgenous but it seems i was wrong.
It is difficult for me to do a proper makeup and get some feminine cloth because i live with my parents and they know nothing about my feminine side but next time i will do better pictures with a least some makeup and a better shaving.

Thank you Jenny. That makes me feel so much better.

Sammy, the first thing that I was able to notice is that you have EXCELLENT cheek structure. High prominent cheekbones. That is going to look great once HRT fills them out. You also have excellent eyebrows... a good arch, very long and feminine, and they are set high enough above your eyes that it will make them look nicely open and shimmering.

Your face also has a good shape in general. It's more short and round rather than square and angular, which tends to generate great results once HRT has feminized the skin texture. And speaking of skin, yours looks great already! Smooth, even-toned... HRT is going to make it look great!

As far as masculine features, the only ones that really stand out to me at all are the tip of your nose, which is just a tough big, and your hairline is definitely a little bit receded.

As a whole, though, I'd say that you've got WAY more feminine features than masculine ones, more than enough to balance everything out. You're going to do just fine. And considering some of the amazing transformations that I've seen from people with WAY more masculine features than you, you've got a lot to look forward to.

I look forward to seeing your progress once you really get going!

@Sammy: You may not want to hear this, but you actually look really good as a guy, too. Especially that last pic. :D

But yeah - I think you'll be just fine. Better than fine.
So, basically, take what Carrie just said and repeat it. Forehead should be fine - long hair makes it relatively simple to disguise the male hairline, as I have learned, much to my relief. :)
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

^Yup. Shining example right there. In fact, I was thinking "hmm, that hairline kind of looks like Zoe's" when I was posting.

@Sammy, I haven't really commented on the could I pass or do I pass because I am not sure I am that good at discerning well. You look well suited to transition. Your tapering jaw has that feminine quality. You have high cheek bones as do I, lucky us. Your eyebrows look femme & may only require a tweak of thinning. You don't have a very high forehead like one of my Sister friends, a good hairline. When you get some length you could perhaps style in a angle arc down across your forehead a little lower on one side. Just a thought.

You should put that last picture as your avatar. If your dysphoria isn't overwhelming you look good, better than your current avatar. When the estrogen works to the point you are looking female, then you could change the avatar. I posted a before and after, my male pic I was told I looked good, I appreciated the compliment. That is just me.

Looking forward to seeing your changes on your journey. All the Best.

Touché! ;) But I kinda tend to fail in this life as guy :P But I remember seeing somewhere that nice guys tend to make nice girls too ;) - You being one of the examples.
Or, in my case, 235lb, weak, hairy, lazy nerds with three chins under their neckbeards make really surprisingly nice girls once they've cleaned up a bit. ^_^
I have a full-body "before" pic lying around on my computer somewhere. I think I'll post it eventually, just for laughs. :/

Well, I was 270 lbs (122.7 kilos) before I started transition, so...

It's amazing what actually caring about how your body looks for the first time can do to you.

Yep. Although, one can kinda get stuck at a certain weight if one's not careful. I'm at 175 and aiming for 150 right now, which has been my state since last November-ish.

@Sammy: If that military man in the photo was you, yes.

I have been over 85 kilos too..
Still consider me attractive? :P

Sammy, we have quite a few MtFs here who have prior military service in the male mode.  That's nothing of which to be ashamed.

I think you have a facial structure that will be helped by HRT, and may never need FFS, though you may elect to do it.

Sammy

Oh, I am terribly sorry for not explaining this - this picture was from WW2 reenactment event (I was in my denial mode then), so I am not actually a former military (I am officially in the reserve, but that is a peculiarity of our national armed forces system). The reason I posted, because I look like an ugly fecker there - nothing more :P.
As for not needing FFS - I do have very small bossing, so I might have to address that and besides I can find angles where I do feel very uncomfortable to look at myself, but I suppose even cis-girls can have those...

Hey is anyone online? I have a pic :-)

not really used to taking, let alone posting "selfies"

just a quick bout of fun with my old makeup kit from theatre days. no hrt of FFS yet. critique/thoughts?

From that picture I don't see a prominent brow line, so I think you will do great on hrt.

I wish I had the courage to post a picture on here. I am too afraid someone will somehow find the picture and notice what site it is on and clock me. I am sure it wouldn't happen but I don't feel self confident enough yet. Almost all of my friends and acquaintances see me as more of "a man's man" as I discuss football games with them, watch same type of movies with them ect. I think mostly so I have something to talk to them about. When it isn't football season and I take a break from watching wrestling,  I am mostly quiet.

Hello,

I am of French origin, I hope you understand my post.
I will begin a transition and I would like to know your expertise.
Should go through the FFS or hormones will they work their feminization.
I post a picture of natural and another where I am outrageously makeup.

Thank you very much for your comment is important to me.
