Is there anyone out there who enjoys Anime? If so what kind?

I think I've seen this conversation elsewhere, but I forget where or when so...

I love anime. x3  I'm a huge fan of shonen-ai and yaoi when it comes to genre.  I enjoy magic and fantastical settings as well though sci-fi can also be good such as Outlaw Star.

YAY I haven't met too many people who like anime for some reason. I enjoy a current anime called Zetsuen no Tempest. The sound track came out today and I can't wait to download it. If you want a good site for anime that's secure you should try Bakabt.me

Genre wise, I'm a bit of a freak on that side. I have some serious fantasies. I love sci-fi and mecha anime also. Kingdom is another good anime thats out righ tnow if you like historical types.

Outlaw Star is one of my favorites! I watched the entire season in one day.
I love anime as well. All sorts of it. My first stuff was Dragonball, Fruits Basket, Sailor Moon, and Inuyasha. I remember reading Chobits at an early age as well. When I got older, I liked things like Ninja Scroll (the movie), Outlaw Star, Elfen Lied...anything with an interesting plot or a lot of action.

I'm rather picky. =/  If there's any form of straight romance in it then chances are I stay away from it. >.>;

I don't go for the romance types either. Boring on so many levels.

Ooo Elfen Lied was really good. Have you ever thought about watching Clannad?

I love you so much. Cowboy Bebop was the first anime besides InuYasha that I ever watched from start to finish without a pause.

Cowboy Bebop was great. In fact I just learned "Rain" on the piano.

I haven't seen Clannad, I suppose you recommend it?

Well it was definitely something different for me. I'm not into the romance scene, but this was different.

If you want something closer to Elfen Lied's bloodier side then something like Gantz may pique your interest.

I prefer the slice of life types: Wagnaria!!, Sket Dance, Hyakko, Lucky Star, Azumanga Diaoh, Girls und Panzer, K-ON, Upotte!!, etc. I watch others too but I like a laid back relaxing type with humor tossed in.
Watching the birds made me feel like taking a journey. The people, the landscapes, everything was imperfect but beautiful.

I'm so disappointed that Girls Und Panzer is being delayed over and over again. Its a good series with a good plot, they need to stop messing with it.
  •

DirtyFox

Yeah, but makes me look forward to it more. In the meantime I can catch up on others I have missed such as The pet girl of sakurasou and My little monster.

Sounds interesting. The ones I'm currently following/watching are;

1. Zetsuen no Tempest
2. Kingdom
3. Naruto Shippuden

I used to watch Bleach, but they cancelled it which pissed me off. They keep saying they were going to make a second season of Freezing and Air Gear, but that'll never happen. I am looking forward to the recently green lit GGO = Gun Gale Online to be made and premiered.

I used to really be into anime and I still love a lot of the anime I used to watch but a lot of the new anime coming out just feels so copy/paste. So much slice of life, high school and magic girl stuff lately that it's hard finding really good ones.

I really enjoy anime like Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex, Trigun, Berserk, Gungrave etc.

I'll admit I did enjoy Azumanga Daioh and Clannad was one of the most depressing things I've watched if not for the sudden happy ending (Still think it would've been better without it)

The Suzumiya Haruhi series struck a chord with me too. So far read up to the eighth book.

Still, I find myself preferring the more... serious anime?

I watched the early Naruto episodes but for whatever reason I can never fully get into fighting or action types. Especially when they sort of stray from main plotline or run for too long. I'm probably just too picky. I did enjoy Bleach. The characters are fantastic. I did like Trigun and Ghost in the Shell too.

I loved Trigun. Probably the funniest anime I saw in a long time. I watched Berserk last night and it was interesting and seriously blood filled.

Anime, likely the one girlie thing I shamelessly love.

I have something in the order of about 5 or 6 TB of anime. It's easier to measure it with terrabytes.

Something like 500 dvds.

Something like a TB of subbed stuff I have not had the pleasure of getting on DVD.

I tend to like most anything, but shy away from the horror bloody violent stuff. not a fan of boy anime aka Naruto Bleach Dragonball stuff. I don't mind watching it, but I haven't collected it.

I like the sappy romance stuff, the icky sweet stuff. If you can watch A Little Snow Fairy Sugar, you can watch anything :)

Most of the music I listen to, I only listen to it thanks to an AMV, aside from listening to my son's music (he has great tastes in trance and similar material).

I started with Sailor Moon and Ranma and Urusei Yatsura. But this century has been an explosion of anime.

I think they have gotten a bit out of hand with anime meant for teen boys with the fan service though the last while. I want my K-On style anime more.
Well being TG is no treat, but becoming separated has sure caused me more trouble that being TG ever will be. So if I post, consider it me trying to distract myself from being lonely, not my needing to discuss being TG. I don't want to be separated a lot more than not wanting to be male looking.

Wow I wish I had that much anime. Right now I think I'm only around I think 500 gb downloaded to my hard drive right now. I think over the course of a couple years I have probably downloaded about 5 tbs worth. Ranma 1/2 was the first anime I ever watched. After that I was hooked like a fish on a hook with a work in its mouth.

That without a doubt is the largest anime collection I have heard of. Simply amazing :). Romance anime are great so long as there is a happy ending. Suzuka was great but I was crying some of the time. K-on was fantastic, definitely up there on my favs. I feel kinda bad not watching Ranma1/2 when I had it available, is it worth the buy?
