yes?
no?
maybe so?

Ky, that's not the best picture IMHO.  Maybe one with you not making that kind of expression would tell me more.

From this one - I would say androgynous.

I'd say maybe so.

Edit to add:

Based off the photos in your intro thread, I'd agree with Kreuzfidel that in the top two photos you look more andro. In the bottom photo, I'd say no, though I get the feeling that you weren't trying to pass there since you said you're closeted at home. :)

I cut my hair and combed out my dreads. I'm quite sure a very short haircut would suit me, but my mum would probably cry, haha. She was on the verge of tears cutting my hair this short, because it's never been this short since I was a kid. Ah well, when I finally tell them I'm trans, I'll get it cut properly. Until then...thoughts? This is just my normal hair, it's not styled or anything.

I think the longer hair looks fine right now. Sometimes going too short doesn't help with passing since it shows how small your skull is.

I find that going crew-cut doesn't help me passing. But keeping it shortish does for me (like to the point your hair starts to texure a bit but not cropped)
A bit shorter would look good for sure, but for now this looks quite okay as well.
Sad to see you got rid of your dreads... but then again, I had them too... and said goodbye to them as well. So I understand your descision.

Well, I noticed whenever I tied my dreads back, I'd look a lot more masculine, so I think short-ish hair would suit me very well. But for now, I'll not stress my mum out over it, haha. Yeah, I had to comb them out because my scalp is in a bad way, so I figured I might as well shorten it too while I'm at it. In the future I'll have them again.

Jason- wow, big change! You look good with your hair like that. It must be weird to be without dreads.

KY- I guess I'd say you look andro although I'd never question it if you told me you were a young male/

Jared- you are fine and I am totally jealous.

I'm pre-everything but blessed with a 32A chest and a defined jaw. I have a hard time passing without a hat for sure, but what about with it? Even a little? Any suggestions on how to lose the fat in my face?

P.S I was feeling really cocky when I was taking the pictures so excuse the weird expressions.

There's nothing you can do about losing fat in your face if you're not on T.

As for passing, I'd say you pass as a very young boy in these photos.

But...for the record and IMHO...I don't like it when people post photos with them making silly faces and asking if they pass - because it's not an accurate reflection of how well you pass as opposed to "straight-faced".

I know what you are saying here, and a lot of guys do this.  You will get a more accurate "reading" if you do it straight faced.  With a funny face, people can only tell you if you are passing in that specific moment.

I get the inclination to do this, though...people like to present their best angles/looks.

Sorry. I do have a hard time keeping a straight face in photos but I'll remember to do that next time. Thanks for the input anyway.
By the way, I am pretty young. I s' pose that does make a difference.

Hey guys, I've been getting misgendered quite a bit recently so I'd appreciate any opinions? Cheers :)

Onyx: I think you look more masculine in the third picture... Maybe try not to smile or laugh too much (I KNOW WTF?!?!?), so that your cheek are less prominent, and about the hat I really don't know... you should put a picture without the hat, maybe change hair style?!?!

I think that your give away is the chin... But you look like a cute guy ;)

I can see you passing as a young boy, Lucas, but a few things do stick out to me in terms of passing. As someone mentioned, your chin is kind of small (but that's not your fault and it will change later). You also seem a bit...tentative, and hesitant in the photo as well (just based on your facial expression) which I know, even for me at 2 years, sometimes causes people to think I am female.

I know I personally tend to see the ear gauges (is that what they're called?) as more feminine, and I'd be more inclined to gender someone female if I was "on the fence" and then saw them. That said, there's a lot of guys that do wear them and after spending time on T, pass as male with them in. It's really up to you, it is understandable if you don't want to compromise your personal style solely to pass as male. As long as you're comfortable and happy!

Other than your chin (mine is small, too) - I would say that it's probably your eyebrows.  Do you pluck at all?  I also have "shapely" eyebrows that I think used to get me misgendered pre-T.  It's not exactly something you can help - but I would also say your hairstyle is a bit too short on the sides.  Sometimes going too short can accentuate the "feminine" skull shape (it really is a thing).  Maybe slightly longer hair on the sides would help.

Thanks for the opinions, it's useful to have an idea of what might be giving me away. I've never done anything to my eyebrows in my life, they're naturally like that :/ Would you believe me if I told you I'm 20?
