It sucks that after so many years she still doesn't fully see you for who you are.

Yeah, I am really patient with her and always have been. She has progressed leaps and bounds since this all started.

To some parents I think it's just hard to fully let go of the idea of that child you once had. She calls me Simon and uses the right pronouns flawlessly and has for the past decade so I can't complain.

Just upsets me when I upset her.

I asked my father if there were any counselors at his job that I could talk to about my issues and he goes "you have two sisters, me, and your brother in law to talk to".  I told him I need someone with experience and he goes "what do you think getting old is".  Then I told him I need someone with an unbiased opinion and he goes into a tangent of showing me different neighboorhoods and how to spot certain types of people and that you don't need a degree to do that (wtf).  Then we get into the topic of religion and I told him about a certain prayer I said to God and he told me that I need to stop getting sarcastic with God when I wasn't.  Then he starts talking about random multiple wives out of no where.  Then he ended the convo saying I don't need a counsulor yet because I haven't been born.

My father is a lunatic.....and he wants to act as my "counselor".  I still love him though.  I just hate to see what our relationship will be like once I transition since he's already against it/completely blows it off.

I wouldn't worry too much about the future. There are plenty of people who have changed their tunes after seeing their loved one evolve in front of their eyes and become better people. I wish that is what people could understand from the get go. This is all about becoming better and happier whole people.

Lol he really was.  Them seeing how happy I am afterwards is somethng I'm deeply hoping for as well.  Right now, my family sees me as the relative that has no drive.  I have a drive, but I just can't implement it yet but hopefully it all comes out in due timing.

I did that with COFFEE! earlier when I realized that I had started the coffeemaker an hour and a half before. Nuked it a minute and it was okay, but not as tasty as fresh.

Sitting here eating my gf's greek yogurt (this stuff is bangin') thinking about attempting to give myself a shot for the first time on Tuesday.

Yeah, it is a "macho" thing for me a little bit...just to know I am capable of being self sufficient. More than that though is I NEED to be able to do it starting this Fall. My gf works night and is in class during the morning. I will be in class during the morning and working in the afternoons. Our paths aren't going to cross very much on Tuesdays.

I just hope I won't pass out and break the needle off in my thigh, lol.

My cousin was asking my sister and I a lot of questions about religions, denominations, and faith Sunday.  She's confused on what to believe in and she wants to know more about what certain denominations believe about certain things.  My sister gave my cousin her view point on different subjects and I gave my cousin my view points that greatly differ.  I told my cousin to meet me Friday or Saturday if she wanted to see a lot of great debates on some subjects in order to help her in her beliefs only if she's serious.  Something tells me she will forget or blow it off but then again, who knows?  The one thing both my sister and I agree on is that eventually she will have to do the research and studying by herself.  I don't want her beliving in xyz because they are my beliefs according to my study (although that would be awesome), but at the same time, I don't want her beliving in xyz beliefs because my sister believes in them and she just happens to be a pastor.  I'm interested to see where her journey leads since I'm on a similar path myself.
