Hiya

Recently ive been starting to get really lonely!
Im currently living in Sheffield in the UK, and i know no-one here!

I really just want to come out to my housemates, but im scared of what they'll think!!!!
I just sit in my room too much on my own and i feel it is driving my mad!!! :(

I just want some freinds in the area (and then i think coming out to the people i already know will be easier!), but i dont really know where to start! Do any of you ladies have any advice on making friends?

Much Love
Zoe

Surely there must be a TG support group that meets within close proximity, you can meet like minded folks at one of those meetings and start from there. Good luck Hon!

Have you checked your area for support groups?  Google seemed to provide a few hits but I don't know the area so I can't be the best of help addy knowing what would be close.

I live in Portland, Oregon and we have the Q Center which is open for all types of queer people and has a very active support group schedule.  I just have to work up the courage to attend something...

Look for LGBT groups in your area. Meetup.com has a lot of stuff.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

I'll be over for my GIC visits at the Sheffield GIC starting monday, would happily meet for a coffee. Stealth or dressed, I don't mind ;)

Feeling lonely and not being able to be you at home must really suck.
Serious virtual hugs babe.

If I wasn't 12, 000 miles away and surrounded by bush fires I would be dragging you out shopping.
Body... meet brain.  Now follow her lead and there will be no more trouble, you dig?

Try to make friends with other girl/women friends very close by. Just tell them you are & that you would just like a nice normal life. I think you will be suprised if you honest to them & will make supporting new girl friends.

Then have fun & go shopping, maybe.

So how you going now Zoe?

Judging by some of the faces being pulled on the last set of facebook pics I saw, becoming much more attuned with her vodka ridden party girl side :)
