I am so so excited!! John Eaves, designer of the Enterprise-E, has invited me to help him do a Ships of The Line calendar picture. It's a Trek Project! an official one! So it counts as a dream come true. :D :D

And I couldn't be more excited. ;D She's got so much talent, and it's all self-taught. No formal education, just lots of practice, communication with friends, etc. *le brag* :P

This is a selfish happy but here goes. I had a doc appt with my surgeon. She tells me that I am healing much better than anticipated and that in a year I should be able to be put back together. The worries she had seem to be resolving themselves. I am also able to work pretty much full time and with less restrictions. I may get to save my home yet.

I finally got a new housemate yesterday.  He is 57 YO, overweight, has cancer (prognosis good but lots of chemo to go yet) and is gay.  Sigh, not what I hoped for but the guy needed a break.

The really good part is he has some female acquaintances who are professional beauticians, he's going to talk to them about giving me a full makeover just for the fun of it!

You just never know huh?

Christmas music. Ugh, I love it.

Me too!! I'm not a fan of how early it comes, (nor how early it stops... there are TWELVE days of Christmas... per the song the 25th, day 1 stress with family... day 2 Spiro twice a day...)

Happy today? ONE MONTH 'TIL ENDO-MAS!

Today I was hanging out with my best friend, a boy who is 2 years newer than me and that is my neighbor. He was always really shy, a bit nerd and a bit effeminate (like if he was my clone). I am considering to tell him first about my future transition, but I don't know how he will react as he is very catholic.

But today he was telling me of a story he wrote, where he was born a girl instead of a boy. I was so happy of listening to his story! I think he may understand me after all (he might even be a future MTF for what I know).

After today I am really considering him to be the first to know.

This made me happy! I think at least one of my friends may understand me!

That would have been a good time to tell! :) It sounds like he may be open to understanding you... and very well may be genderqueer to some level. If he's very catholic, and his family is... he may have a hard time opening up about his own feelings and you could end up helping.

It's always so scary coming out to people. I'm contemplating coming out to a few groups... all will be the first non-family people I tell.

Yes, I considering telling today...but I was afraid that he could tell his mother and that she would definately tell my mother that knows nothing. Perhaps he may think I am destroying my life wiith what I am doing and would decide to "help me" trying to take me out from this path...so I considered too risky to tell now.

But when the time comes I will start with a "do you remember that story you told me?" *smiles*

A classmate writing the minutes for a meeting we had just messaged me: "Do I write 'birthname' or do you prefer something else?". Completely unprompted... :D When I replied saying I'd prefer Nathan if that would be okay and that she made my day, she replied that that alone was enough reason for her to write Nathan from now on! Best feeling ever!

A break in the  clouds today, not too much dysphoria and depression. Amazing what a difference this makes.

1 month to Endo!!!!

Also... this:

Quote from: meWhen I end up moving, I'd like to get a small bunny for the apartment - if possible. My daughters would LOVE it, too!!! It could really be a good bonding thing for us post-separation. I get sad thinking about losing them... even if it's just a partial loss. It will be even more difficult for them!

Try not to think of it as losing them, even partially, they aren't to be lost to you and won by someone else, they're independent people, you will be able to spend less time directly in the same physical domicile as them but your connection to them will still be there, and with work you can keep it fresh and alive - find ways to help keep up with the little things, as those can help bring people together, little victories and frustrations from their lives and also yours, the street is two way.

It's really wonderful advice. The kids will be even more important to me after I move than they are now. Make every second count!!! ♥

Shan made me happy today. ^-^ Along with chocolate milk and a new toothbrush. And the smell of fresh laundry.

That's great, Gwynne!! I want to come out to a coworker, too... but I'm scared to do it before I tell my boss.
