Dee

A couple roommates and I went to a party, where I hadn't seen anyone since I started my transition.  The only one who recognized me was the friend who invited me (who I caught up to speed last week), and two others (guy and a girl) eventually figured it out.

It was fun watching the guy piece it together, and he was so sweet once he did!  I did feel kind of guilty for the girl, though.  She originally approached me, saying she was confused because she felt like she knew me from somewhere, and that I looked like [Dee], and felt oblivious since I was "obviously his sister."  That put such a big smile on my face.

I stupidly went along with it, but after a bit I started to feel bad for misleading her.  Finally told her "I'm not [Dee's] sister, I am [Dee]."  She told me she had realized this after we first 'met'- I had introduced myself by my name to her friend- and that she felt awful for not recognizing me.  We both apologized (though, IMO she had nothing to apologize for), and she kept complimenting me that I looked great!  So that's had my spirits perked ever since! :)

Fun time with two of my new floormates last night.
Now since the cafs have stupid hours this week cause of spring break I'm going to have to ask dad for some money to eat off campus. Or to go back to Meijer and buy more food to cook with.

I'm sorry I haven't said anything positive to you about it. I just don't know what to say about it besides "OMG that's horrible!" and that just isn't sufficient enough for me.

My apologies also. I have been caught up in my own issues, which are trivial. My love to you and your child.

Laura Squirrel,
I'm sure you know by now that porcupines are awfully prickly sorts and make horrible bed partners hon!  ;D

Oriental nut mix!

And I got more hay for the horses. Two tonnes, should last a couple of weeks. That's one big worry off my shoulders. I also have a doctor's appointment tomorrow that I am actually looking forward to.

Responded to a Diversity email from my work for a function in a few weeks as it strongly supports the GLBTIA community or so they say.
Today got an anonyms survey email, obviously based on the response and filled it in and it even had a section for T.

So added my comments as the groups are always focused on GL and B at the expense of others. Shame they forgot A but I pointed that out.

See what happens.

So long and thanks for all the fish

I walked a total of two hours today. Not much, but I've been slacking off this winter. Anyway, I like it.

Listening to the song Koko by Sander van Doorn over and over has made me feel good :)
And as will food, hopefully it doesn't suck like it did yesterday. The caf at Holmes Hall was always bad, but it's even worse over spring break.

I got a call from my old employer today.  They asked me if I would be interested in working on a temp basis again.  I'm very excited that I may actually have something again because I've been going through a rough patch.  This was the job that was going to re-appeal for me to take over a permanent position there towards the end of March, all the result of hiring freeze drama.  If I can get back in, even on a temp basis, that may help me in the long run.  At the very least, it will let me save up a little money at a time when I feel very broke.  Let's hope it works out.

Just got done talking with my counselor and mom. I finally got out everything on my mind that relates to being transgender. My mom will be contacting a gender therapist.
